Rudy Giuliani ominously threatens that 'the American people would revolt' if Trump gets impeached

Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani on Thursday issued an ominous warning for anyone who is thinking that President Donald Trump deserves to be impeached.

The U.K.-based Sky News reports that Giuliani, who is staying in Scotland this week, warned that Democrats should drop all talk of impeachment lest they face a "revolt" from the president's supporters.

"You could only impeach him for political reasons and the American people would revolt against that," Giuliani said.

Talk of impeaching Trump has increased after his longtime "fixer" Michael Cohen directly implicated him while pleading guilty to making an illegal campaign contribution that was used as hush money to quiet two of the president's former mistresses.

What's more, federal investigators have reportedly granted legal immunity to National Enquirer publisher David Pecker so that he could disclose exactly what Trump knew about these illegal payments.

Giuliani, however, told Sky News that Cohen's guilty plea has "completely cleared" the president of any wrongdoing -- despite the fact that Cohen directly implicated the president in a felony.
