Scottish vacation park considers changing its name to avoid toxic association with Trump

Over the past couple of years, there have been several Trump-branded properties that have removed his name because it has been hurting their brands, including the Trump International Hotel in Panama and the Trump International Hotel & Tower in Toronto.

However, a vacation park in Scotland is now also considering dissociating itself from the president -- and it doesn't even have the "Trump" brand anywhere on it.

The Telegraph reports that the Turnberry Holiday Park believes that it is being hurt by being associated with the Turnberry golf resort that happens to be owned by President Donald Trump.

According to the Telegraph, the park recently "canvassed the opinions of over 1000 people and found that 32% were less likely to visit the site because of its name" due to its association with Trump's golf course.

"We are proud of our historic association with Turnberry, but we are considering a new name that highlights the positive aspects of this wonderful part of the world," Andrew Howe, the CEO of park owner Bridge Leisure Parks, tells the Telegraph. "We are giving members of the public a chance to have their say on a new name.They can head over to our Facebook Page to make their suggestions or share their views or concerns about any apparent link to the American President."
