Sen. Lindsey Graham confesses he thinks Trump is a liar -- while brushing off the president’s scandals

On Friday, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) attempted to brush President Donald Trump's scandals under the rug while interviewing with Fox News Host Neil Cavuto.

Graham confessed that he didn't always believe that Trump told the truth but argued his actions mean more than his words.

While talking about campaign fiance violations, Russian hacking, and adult film star Stormy Daniels, Cavuto asked, "Do you believe everything the president has said on these subjects?"

"No. He is always under siege. He is saying this one minute and that the next. It's what he does that matters," Graham responded.

He added, "He is like every other person. Bill Clinton lied about having sexual relationships with that woman. I voted against that article of impeachment because I think most people would lie to protect their family."

"I'm the one Republican to vote against that article of impeachment because I think the average person in that circumstance would be compelled to lie," he said. "Did Trump do some of this? I don't know, but I think I would at least understand it. Lying about sex wasn't enough for me then and it's not enough now."
