Rudy Giuliani is all over television spreading conspiracy theories about Hillary Clinton's health and encouraging people to "Google it" as a means of verifying the validity, but Stephen Colbert wasn't having any of it.
"Yes, Rudy Giuliani says just diagnose Hillary on the internet," Colbert began Tuesday's "Late Show" saying. "Because if it's on the internet you know it's true. For instance, I put my symptoms into WebMD and found out I have menopause."
When Colbert did what Giuliani instructed and googled "Hillary Clinton illness" the first thing that came up was a video talking about Rudy Giuliani fueling Clinton health rumors.
"So, let me get this straight, let me explain this to you," Colbert said while the audience laughed and applauded. "Here's what's happening: Giuliani says she's not healthy and then look it up on the internet. And when you look it up on the internet it says Giuliani says she's not healthy and to look it up on the internet. It's like it's an endless loop. It's like a snake with its tail in its mouth. Or a man with his head up his own ass." It's unclear if that is currently covered by Obamacare.
Colbert isn't shocked the former New York mayor could accurately diagnose Clinton without examining her. "After all Giuliani and Donald Trump are experts on female anatomy," Colbert said, before showing an actual video the two made together where Giuliani is dressed like a drag queen and Donald Trump shoves his face into his breasts.
"You're going to want to verify that video," Colbert suggested. "Just go online and put down 'Donald Trump Rudy Giuliani motorboat.'"
He acknowledged that the video is probably not the video that people want to find on the internet. Likely they want people to find the thread of conspiracy theories pushed out by Trump supporters at InfoWars and Breitbart. Those diagnose Clinton with everything including brain damage, Parkinson's, Autism and even syphilis.
"Syphilis?" Colbert questioned. "You cannot be president if you have syphilis! Just ask Benjamin Franklin!"
These after Clinton fell and got a concussion and then developed a blood clot afterward. Colbert explained that some people at the time accused Clinton of faking it so she could get out of the first Benghazi hearings.
"But a couple of years later, those same people said that not only was it not fake but so serious that she suffered permanent brain damage. And they have proof," Colbert explained showing the clip of Clinton joking around with reporters and nodding her head around. "Which they say is her having a seizure and even more damning this footage from the Clinton convention of Clinton enjoying the celebration," he said, showing a clip of the indoor fireworks going off over Clinton's head.
"I'll admit, that is not very presidential behavior. 'My fellow Americans,'" Colbert began in his president voice. "The state of our nation is," then he looked up pretending to see fireworks. "'Oh! Oh! Shiny union!' I wish I got excited about anything that much," he said, before pretending to motorboat someone.
Speaking to Trump supporters Colbert said, "I don't know why they keep saying things like 'frail' or 'weak' or 'low-energy.' You're just tip-toeing around the medical condition that you're really upset about. One that she has that no other president in history has ever faced. Hillary Clinton has chronic 'no penis.'"
