CNN was forced off the air on Thursday night after a bomb threat disrupted the filming of Don Lemon's show and prompted the evacuation of the block the network's building is on.
The threat came in just moments after Donald Trump unleashed an unhinged series of tweets, which Lemon discussed when he finally got back on the air with a rough feed from the street.
Wearing a Canada Goose Jacket and chatting with correspondent Brian Stelter while using his AirPods to mic the conversation, Lemon said that the fact that the threat followed quickly behind Trump's tweets was suspicious.
"We don't know, but the timing is suspicious," Lemon said. "But we don't know."
In October, CNN was targeted with a mail bomb by a Trump superfan known as the MAGAbomber.
Stelter, whose iPhone provided the feed used to broadcast the network around the world, said he didn't blame Trump.
"That's the responsibility of the criminal, that's not the responsibility of anybody else," he said.
