Trump quotes Fox & Friends to push back against Russia bombshells: ‘Thought he worked for Kremlin?’

President Donald Trump quoted a "Fox & Friends" segment to push back against bombshell reports that the FBI opened a counterintelligence investigation of his ties to Russia.

The FBI opened the probe after he fired then-director James Comey to determine whether Trump was acting as a Russian agent, and he did not explicitly deny those allegations in an interview Saturday with Fox News host Jeanine Pirro.

Trump tweeted Monday morning that his energy policies should demonstrate that he was not a Kremlin agent.

“'Gas prices drop across the United States because President Trump has deregulated Energy and we are now producing a great deal more oil than ever before,'” Trump tweeted, quoting "Fox & Friends." "But this is bad news for Russia, why would President Trump do such a thing? Thought he worked for Kremlin?"
