President Donald Trump quoted a "Fox & Friends" segment to push back against bombshell reports that the FBI opened a counterintelligence investigation of his ties to Russia.
The FBI opened the probe after he fired then-director James Comey to determine whether Trump was acting as a Russian agent, and he did not explicitly deny those allegations in an interview Saturday with Fox News host Jeanine Pirro.
Trump tweeted Monday morning that his energy policies should demonstrate that he was not a Kremlin agent.
