'My beautiful hair!' Trump order aims to 'make America’s showers great again'

President Donald Trump ditched his traditional MAGA catchphrase to make way for a new slogan: “Make America’s showers great again.”

The president on Wednesday signed an executive order rolling back Obama and Biden-era regulations he’s criticized as being responsible for poor water pressure, The Washington Post reported. Trump made the same move during his first term, but former President Joe Biden reinstated the water restrictions.

He made clear during an Oval Office signing ceremony on Wednesday why the restrictions should be “memorialized” by Congress.

"I like to take a nice shower to take care of my beautiful hair,” Trump told reporters. “I have to stand under the shower for 15 minutes until it gets wet. It comes out drip, drip, drip – it’s ridiculous.”

Trump added that the regulations not only affect showers but also dish washing and cause Americans to wash their hands "five time longer.”

“So it’s to save water,” he said.

“No longer will shower heads be weak and worthless,” according to a draft of Trump’s order, obtained by the Washington Post. The order added that it intended to “make America’s showers great again.”

Trump used the Oval Office signing ceremony on Wednesday to air grievances about Harvard University, the “very dishonest” media, the 2020 election, and low-flow showers.

“No market failure justifies this intrusion: Americans pay for their own water and should be free to choose their shower heads without federal meddling,” according to the order.
