Walt Disney CEO joins Uber in pulling out of Trump's business advisory group event

When the president summons someone to the White House, they go. Disney CEO Bob Iger is not.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Iger was one of the only entertainment executives to RSVP and he has refused to attend a policy forum that was planned this week. He will attend a company board meeting instead.

President Donald Trump pitched the event as "CEOs and business leaders who know what it takes to create jobs and drive economic growth."

The CEOs of Uber and SpaceX were also scheduled to go, but Uber's head, Travis Kalanick pulled out of the forum after Trump's executive order barring immigrants from seven countries entrance into the U.S. while putting a four-month hold on all refugees that have spent years being vetted. An uprising of pro-immigrant after taxi drivers at New York's John F. Kennedy Airport joined protests with a one-hour strike over the weekend. Uber drivers would not participate.

Corporations, particularly in the technology sector, have been thrown into chaos after the immigration and ban and refugee hold. Amazon.com's CEO Jeff Bezos is threating to sue Trump while Microsoft is begging for a waiver for its employees. Many are under pressure by customers and users to boycott any invitation from Trump's White House.
