Watch: Fox News host Bret Baier gives up and just runs footage of cute puppies

It's been a rough day for Donald Trump supporters, as the president's former campaign manager and personal attorney both became felons within minutes of each other.

Fox News spent much of the day reporting on the situation, while also focusing attention on a tragic murder case in Iowa and an emergency landing of a jet in New Jersey.

It got to be too much for host Bret Baier, who ended his Tuesday night segment with a video featuring frolicking puppies.

"After an intense day of news—multiple breaking stories—intense, serious," Baier said. "Puppies, just puppies."

Baier then aired the footage of puppies.

"OK, he said. "Thought you'd enjoy that."
