Trump's lawyers just created a 'big problem' in his eye-popping BBC lawsuit: experts

President Donald Trump's lawyers made a big mistake in the president's $10 billion lawsuit against the British Broadcasting Corporation, one so big that two legal experts argued on Sunday that it could be evidence of malpractice.

Trump initially sued the BBC in Florida in December 2025, claiming the network defamed him by mischaracterizing the speech Trump made ahead of the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot. During the speech, Trump told his supporters they needed to "fight like hell, and if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore," according to a transcript published by NPR.

Expert flags 'unforced error' that could determine who controls the Senate after midterms

An elections expert on Sunday flagged the "unforced error" that could determine which political party controls the Senate following the 2026 midterm election.

Democrats have been vying for control of the Senate, as it would give them leverage to potentially convict President Donald Trump if he is impeached after the midterms. The Democrats have said that impeaching the president is their number-one priority following the November election. Trump was impeached twice during his first term, but was not convicted by the Senate in either trial.

Critics pile on Pete Hegseth for praising Trump's 'strength' during CBS News interview

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was one of the lucky Trump administration officials who was asked to go on the Sunday morning news shows, but things apparently didn't go according to plan, according to some political analysts and observers.

Hegseth joined CBS News' Margaret Brennan on Sunday, where he was asked about the ongoing negotiations between the Trump administration and the Iranian regime to end the war against Iran. President Donald Trump claimed on Sunday that the two sides were "so close" to a deal before Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved another strike in Beirut, Lebanon. Iran considers Israeli strikes on Lebanon — particularly Beirut — a red line because of its ties to Hezbollah

Analysts floored as Trump's birthday bash faces 'chaotic' risk: 'God has a sense of humor'

Political analysts and observers were floored on Sunday after reports indicated that President Donald Trump's signature birthday bash faced a "chaotic" risk that could prevent the event from going forward.

The Weather Channel reported on Sunday that Trump's "UFC Freedom 250" event on the South Lawn of the White House could be delayed or canceled because of "chaotic" weather. There is "a 60% chance of thunderstorms, heavy downpours, and wind gusts up to 34 mph threatening to delay the outdoor fights," according to the report.

Stephen Miller rails against ‘monstrous’ wind farms: ‘Visual assault on God’s creation’

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller launched into a tirade Sunday over wind turbines, which he described as “monstrous” and a “visual assault on God’s creation.”

A social media user on X published a photograph Saturday that showed several wind turbines off the coast of Virginia Beach. The image apparently upset Miller, who on Sunday, responding to the post, voiced his preference for fossil fuels as an energy source.

Markwayne Mullin praises Trump for ‘still working – on his birthday!’

President Donald Trump received praise from his own Homeland Security (DHS) secretary on Sunday for apparently not taking the day off on his 80th birthday, which comes as the White House scrambles to seal an interim agreement with Iran to end the president’s deeply unpopular war.

Markwayne Mullin, who replaced Kristi Noem as DHS secretary, appeared on Fox News Sunday and was asked about security at the president’s White House birthday blowout, which included a motorcycle stunt performance and, later, an unprecedented Ultimate Fighting Championship event.

Trump's loyal attack dog turns on him over secretive new deal: 'Not enough'

Mark Levin, one of President Donald Trump's most reliable media defenders and a leading hawk on the Iran war, is breaking with the president over the peace deal Trump is racing to sign — demanding to actually see the agreement before it's locked in.

In a post on X on Sunday, the conservative radio host pressed for transparency on the memorandum of understanding the administration says it will sign with Iran. Levin asked whether the MOU "has... been released so we can actually read it," answering his own question with a pointed "Why not?" Briefing "selected reporters" through a "senior official" on the deal's "broad outlines," he argued, "is not enough."

Ron DeSantis takes veiled shot at Trump as Florida GOP civil war goes nuclear

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is accusing his own state Republican Party of selling out the state's voters to serve interests beyond Florida — a barely disguised swipe at President Donald Trump, whose endorsement has turned Rep. Byron Donalds into the runaway frontrunner in the 2026 governor's race.

DeSantis never said Trump's name. But the target was hard to miss in a blistering post on X, in which the governor tore into Republican Party of Florida Chairman Evan Power over the party's refusal to hold a true debate among gubernatorial candidates at its upcoming "Sunshine State Showdown."
