An announcement by Attorney General Pam Bondi’s Department of Justice of breaking up what she described as “what would have been a massive and horrific terror plot” in California received a small amount of skepticism on MS NOW Monday afternoon.

Earlier in the morning, the Donald Trump appointee announced on X: “The Turtle Island Liberation Front—a far-left, pro-Palestine, anti-government, and anti-capitalist group—was preparing to conduct a series of bombings against multiple targets in California beginning on New Year’s Eve. The group also planned to target ICE agents and vehicles. This was an incredible effort by our U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and the @FBI to ensure Americans can live in peace. We will continue to pursue these terror groups and bring them to justice.”

MAGA influencer Jack Posobiec was immediately proven wrong after insisting that conservatives wouldn't celebrate the death of liberal Hollywood director Rob Reiner.

"You won't see people on the right celebrating the horrific murder of Rob Reiner and his wife," Posobiec wrote on X Sunday night. "Compare to the Left's reaction to Charlie Kirk's murder."

A legal analyst said the Justice Department’s prosecution of Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) is unraveling after newly released texts showed DOJ officials knew she did not assault a federal officer during a protest against immigration enforcement in Newark. On her podcast The Breakdown, Allison Gill said the department’s failure to turn over exculpatory evidence — including video that contradicts the charging document — amounts to a damaging cover-up that could sink the case. Gill called the withheld evidence a “case killer,” arguing the facts now undercut the Trump DOJ’s claims stemming from McIver’s arrest.

The president suggested the Hollywood legend and his wife Michele Singer Reiner were killed in their own home due to the director's outspoken criticism of his administration, which prompted outrage even from Republican lawmakers and MAGA fans. Some reflected on how the public will react one day to the 79-year-old Trump's passing.

Hosts of The Charlie Kirk Show condemned President Donald Trump's attack on Truth Social following the murder of liberal Hollywood director Rob Reiner.

"With Charlie's death, gruesome, I instantly saw the parallels," co-host Andrew Kolvet said on Monday. "And yeah, my heart goes out to their family. The guy had incredible depth. Yeah, he gave into TDS and Trump derangement."

Actor-director Rob Reiner warned of mounting threats to free speech and democracy during a CNN appearance in September — just three months before he and his wife, Michelle Singer, were found dead with stab wounds in their Los Angeles home, in a homicide now under investigation. There is no indication the deaths are connected to his remarks, which followed ABC and Disney’s suspension of Jimmy Kimmel after comments about a right-wing activist. Reiner said speaking out against President Donald Trump and FCC Chair Brendan Carr carried risks, describing the moment as a “war for our democracy” and accusing Trump of trampling constitutional norms.

Conservative host Ana Navarro condemned President Donald Trump's harsh attack on Rob Reiner following the death of the Hollywood director and his wife.

During Monday's edition of The View, co-host Sonny Hostin noted that the president had blamed Reiner for having "Trump Derangement Syndrome" after the murders.

A number of influential right-wing figures are outraged after President Donald Trump issued a “disgusting” attack on Hollywood icon Rob Reiner just hours after the discovery of the director's and his wife’s deaths, which law enforcement is investigating as a homicide.

“Disgusting statement,” wrote Robby Soave, a conservative libertarian journalist with The Hill who’s previously lavished praise on Trump and advocated for him to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, in a social media post on X.

Erika Kirk announced that she has scheduled a private meeting Monday with right-wing influencer Candace Owens, a fierce critic of hers who’s implied, without evidence, that Israel may have played a role in the killing of her husband, Charlie Kirk.

And, given the gravity of Owens’ criticisms hurled at Ms. Kirk, many are predicting that the meeting won’t pan out in her favor.
