One of the nation's top Catholic newspapers lambasted Vice President J.D. Vance after he falsely claimed that 37-year-old slain nurse Alex Pretti was an "assassin" who intended to kill law enforcement.

In an op-ed this week, The National Catholic Reporter's John Grosso noted that Vance was not "choosing to serve" Jesus Christ following Pretti's killing at the hands of federal officers.

The pro-MAGA hosts of Real America's Voice lashed out after a drag queen dressed up as Turning Point USA leader Erika Kirk.

"A mockery of a conservative icon," co-host Emily Finn complained on Tuesday. "A firestorm is erupting online as a drag performer goes viral, mocking Erika Kirk, widow of the late conservative commentator Charlie Kirk."

President Donald Trump complained Tuesday that he could lose control of Congress in the upcoming midterm elections.

During a Tuesday interview with WABC's Sid & Friends, Trump argued that Democratic leaders opposing his immigration policies were "not good people."

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt refused to defend aide Stephen Miller after he described Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old nurse gunned down by Border Patrol, as an "assassin" who "tried to murder federal agents."

During Monday's White House briefing, one reporter noted that the Department of Homeland Security had accused Pretti of wanting to do "maximum damage" and "massacre law enforcement."

FBI Director Kah Patel reversed course after receiving backlash over his assertion that it was illegal to bring a firearm to a protest.

On Sunday, Patel responded to a DHS officer killing Alex Pretti by suggesting the 37-year-old nurse had deserved it because he legally carried a handgun while video recording ICE and Border Patrol agents.

MAGA influencer Steve Bannon called on the Trump administration to double down after officers from the Department of Homeland Security killed Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old nurse, over the weekend.

"In Minneapolis is just the center of an outright revolution, highly organized, highly financed, with our enemies, the Chinese Communist Party in back of this, but Soros, many other groups, highly organized, as sophisticated as what they did against our troops in Baghdad during the insurgency there," Bannon argued on his Monday War Room program. "And during the Iraq War, this is highly sophisticated. Under no circumstances can we de-escalate. Under no circumstances can we blink."

The pro-MAGA hosts on Real America's Voice argued that Alex Pretti's death at the hands of DHS officers should prompt President Donald Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act against anti-ICE protesters.

"As you can imagine, a number of protests broke out there in Minneapolis, and it really has just been a tragic situation," co-host Terrence Bates noted on Monday. "It's about time for President Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act, just to try to really get a handle on this and send a message."

Fox News host Griff Jenkins fact-checked Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche to his face after officials at the Department of Homeland Security alleged that 37-year-old slain nurse Alex Pretti was a domestic terrorist.

"Here's a quote from [Fox's] reporting saying there is extreme internal frustration with DHS officials going on television and putting out statements to describe Alex Pretti as a domestic terrorist who was there to inflict maximum damage on federal agents or conduct a massacre even after multiple videos emerged," Jenkins explained on Monday, "to show that these claims appear to be inaccurate."

Mega podcaster Joe Rogan speculated that President Donald Trump was using Immigration and Customs Enforcement tactics to drown out the coverage of the Department of Justice's refusal to comply with a law requiring the release of files related to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

During an interview with comedian Ehsan Ahmad this week, Rogan asked whether the DOJ had recently released more Epstein materials after the December deadline.

U.S. Border Patrol chief Gregory Bovino boasted about detaining a 5-year-old boy in conditions that he insisted don't get "any better."

During a press conference on Friday, a reporter asked about the boy and his father, who were detained in Minnesota.

Rep. Greg Steube (R-FL) admitted that he would "love to see" the U.S. military at war with the French Armed Forces over the right to own Greenland.
