Dominion officials 'pursue' Sidney Powell across state lines after she evades lawsuit 'for weeks'

Attorneys for Dominion Voting Systems revealed this week that pro-Trump election attorney Sidney Powell has "evaded" attempts to serve her with a lawsuit "for weeks."

In a filing on Tuesday, Dominion's lawyers explained the situation to the court.

"Powell refused to respond to requests from Plaintiffs' counsel about executing waivers of service of process," the document says. "Powell evaded service of process for weeks, forcing Dominion to incur unnecessary expenses for extraordinary measures to effect service, including hiring private investigators and pursuing Powell across state lines."

Earlier this year, Dominion sued Powell for defamation after she repeatedly made the false claim that the company had helped steal the election for President Joe Biden.

“As a result of the defamatory falsehoods peddled by Powell — in concert with likeminded allies and media outlets who were determined to promote a false preconceived narrative — Dominion's founder, Dominion's employees, Georgia's governor, and Georgia's secretary of state have been harassed and have received death threats, and Dominion has suffered enormous harm," the lawsuit states.
