A court motion seeks to identify three secret guarantors of a $500,000 bond for Rep. George Santos (R-NY).

Bloomberg reported that Magistrate Judge Anne Shields did not require Santos' attorney to release the identity of the guarantors.

Shields' decision was a "departure from typical practice in federal court," according to Bloomberg.

The New York Times reportedly filed a motion to identify the co-signers of Santos' bond.

Santos was released on bond at a May 10 arraignment after being charged with fraud and money laundering. Santos has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
