NEW YORK (Reuters) - A U.S. judge has rejected Ghislaine Maxwell's effort to keep under wraps an excerpt from a 2016 deposition that she fears could threaten her criminal trial on charges she aided the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and committed perjury. In a ruling on Monday, U.S. District Judge Loretta Preska in Manhattan said Maxwell's privacy interest in the 20 lines of testimony was "minimal," given that they related only to massages and not private sexual activity of consenting adults, and the public's right of access outweighed her interest. "There is no reason not to unseal this po...
Trump-loving Tulsa pastor spits on his hand and smears it on parishioner to prove trusting God isn't easy
Tulsa, Oklahoma Pastor Mike Todd delivered a sermon to parishioners Sunday titled "Receiving vision from God might get nasty."
To illustrate his point, he had a man on stage with him, and while speaking to him, he snorted all of the mucus he could muster from his nose and sinuses into his mouth and spit into his hand.
The Transformation Church leader held the mucus and saliva mix as he told the flock that trusting the Lord can be difficult. Sometimes it can be outright disgusting. But the righteous can face anything.
He then smeared the mucus on the forehead and cheeks of the man next to him. The audience erupted with "ew" sounds.
As the man stood with mucus visibly stuck to his cheeks, Pastor Todd explained, "How you just reacted, is how the people in your life will react when God is doing what it takes for the miracle."
According to studies, COVID-19 has spread through the larger aerosolized droplets of spit within things like coughs or sneezes.
Pastor Todd worked with Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt (R-OK) in a state-wide day of prayer to protect the state from the pandemic. Sadly, more Oklahomans have died since that day of prayer than before it.
Hope Is Rising. Thank you to Pastor Mike Todd and pastors from across our state for inviting me to join in prayer & worship for Oklahoma. As we stay united in prayer for our state we will continue to take proactive measures against #COVID19 & we will get through this together.pic.twitter.com/AKC1MHOp6Z— Governor Kevin Stitt (@Governor Kevin Stitt) 1585320989

Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis isn't grateful enough for what President Donald Trump has done for him, the ex-leader has complained privately.
According to Axios, Trump is trashing DeSantis as an ingrate with a "dull personality." According to the one-term president, DeSantis has no chance of beating him in the 2024 race for president, sources who've spoken to Trump told the site.
DeSantis performed well in early straw polls, but only if Trump didn't win. If he went up against Trump in 2024, DeSantis flopped.
Axios noted that DeSantis through the first punch in the battle when he told the "Ruthless" podcast, his biggest regret in office was failing to be "much louder" in March 2020, when Trump told Americans to stay home during the early part of the pandemic.
His comments likely come more as a response to Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD), who attacked DeSantis last year for kowtowing into lockdowns. She said that her state, which has a population smaller than Jacksonville, Florida, never shut down, where Florida did briefly close along with the rest of the vast majority of the U.S.
Like Trump's attacks on previous candidates, Trump thinks that DeSantis is low energy.
"He says DeSantis has no personal charisma and has a dull personality," the source told Axios.
Another source, however, said that Trump's true anger comes from DeSantis refusing to say whether or not he'll run for president in 2024.
Fox host Lara Trump either has a new conspiracy theory, or she is very confused.
Hosting the 5 p.m. EST hour, Trump was ranting about Microsoft Word's Clippy and the suggested changes to words like "postman" into "letter carrier" and "mankind" into "humankind." It's part of the right's latest attack on "wokism," which they define as anything done in polite society that makes them uncomfortable.
"Someone is reading this?! And assessing what I'm writing?" Trump said, assuming that a person was actually watching and reading what she was typing in Word instead of an AI programed into what they call "office assistant." It was once named Clippy, and it was never a real person.
According to Trump, the "office assistant" is a lot like her fancy new car that doesn't require a key, just a push-button to start it. She said that the car wouldn't start if she didn't jingle the keys around. That's false. Push-button start cars use safety technology that requires your foot on the break, the car in park, and the key fob in the car with you. It's essentially a small low-frequency transmitter. So if the car won't start, it's likely that you need to replace the batteries.
According to Microsoft, the assistant doesn't have to be turned on.
“The checker can be turned on and off in a menu called 'Grammar & Refinements', which lists everything it checks: Age bias, Cultural bias, Ethnic slurs, Gender bias, Gender-Neutral Pronouns, Gender-Specific Language, Racial Bias, Sexual Orientation Bias and Socioeconomic Bias," said the statement.
