Federal judge signals new restraining order on Trump's 'catastrophic' funding freeze

U.S. District Court Judge Loren AliKhan said she was inclined to issue a restraining order against the Trump administration because it had not complied with another judge who said that a federal spending freeze must be halted.

Last week, U.S. District Chief Judge John McConnell of Rhode Island first issued a temporary restraining order blocking President Donald Trump's freeze on federal grants and loans. Democrat-led states had sought the order.

GOP senator 'pleads' with Trump to rethink tariff as farmers fear devastating prices

Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) is publicly pleading with President Donald Trump to protect U.S. farmers from the damaging effects of his trade tariffs with Canada.

Grassley posted on social media Monday, "Biden inflation increase the input cost to farming by 20% incl particularly high prices on fertilizer. So I plead w President Trump to exempt potash from the tariff because family farmers get most of our potash from Canada."
