‘He is a DEI hire’: Ex-CNN host says ‘nepo baby’ Trump ‘should be embarrassed’ by remarks

Former CNN host Don Lemon upped his yearslong beef with Donald Trump with an insult-laced rant against the president throwing blame – without evidence – on diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives for last week’s deadly air disaster over Washington D.C.

“Donald Trump by his definition of what DEI is – which he thinks is unqualified people – that’s not what it is right but by his definition he is a DEI hire,” Lemon said in a short video interview captured by TMZ. “Donald Trump is the most unqualified person to be President of the United States ever. He’s a nepo baby among other things that I could say but I’d rather not use those words.”

'Bourbon from Mitch McConnell's KY': Tapper calls out GOP leaders over retaliatory tariffs

Within an hour of a deal struck between Canada and the U.S., CNN's Jake Tapper made an example out of two GOP leaders whose states would've been affected by Canada's retaliatory 25% tariffs.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had announced the move against the U.S. after President Donald Trump planned to levy 25% trade tariffs on Canada over the weekend. The two leaders spoke on the phone Monday morning and were scheduled for a follow-up call in the afternoon. In that call, Trudeau said the two allies had come to an agreement similar to one reached with Mexico, with both delaying tariffs for a month.

'What's my crime?' Education Dept workers reportedly suspended with no explanation

Dozens of workers at the U.S. Department of Education were summarily placed on paid administrative leave on Friday — and were not told why, reported ABC News on Monday.

The report said "some employees told ABC News they believe the only common thread among them is that they attended a voluntary training called the 'Diversity Change-Agent Training Program'" — as the letters alerting workers to the suspensions said they were issued under President Donald Trump's executive order abolishing diversity, equity, and inclusion, or DEI, programs in the executive branch.
