'A big fat man': Ex-GOP reacts to South Park's 'bully' Trump slam

Former GOP Rep. Joe Walsh said the creators of ‘South Park’ and Fed Chair Jerome Powell both showed America how to “punch a bully” this week.

While some critics blame ‘South Park’ for being a part of the culture that created a president like Trump, the first episode of the latest ‘South Park’ season put a target on the president’s back. Creators depicted a pointedly un-endowed Trump suing South Park residents for trying to remove the church from the town’s public school. As part of the settlement, Trump demands the town produce a public service announcement in support of the White House.

MAGA may turn 'violent' if Trump can't pull off his next 'trick': biographer

One of President Donald Trump's biographers warned on Saturday that the president's MAGA base could become violent if Trump is implicated in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

Michael Wolff, who has authored four books on Trump, made the comments on The Daily Beast's eponymous podcast. The comments come at a time when the Trump administration is seeking a way to control the Epstein narrative, which has consumed the presidency for more than two weeks.

'This whole thing stinks': Lawyers warn Trump is giving Maxwell a 'golden ticket'

There's something fishy about President Donald Trump's Justice Department setting up multiple meetings with convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, according to two lawyers.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche has met with Maxwell and her lawyer over the last couple of days. The meetings have led some to speculate that Trump may be dangling a pardon for Maxwell in exchange for favorable testimony from her. The president seemingly confirmed those rumors on Friday when he said he is allowed to pardon her.

'Mission accomplished' for Musk as Trump's presidency teeters after exit blow-up: WaPo

If doing irreparable damage to Donald Trump was on Elon Musk's mind when he posted his infamous attack on the president where he stated the president "is in the Epstein files," he certainly got his wish, a report from the Washington Post stated on Saturday.

The bitter break-up between the president and the tech billionaire, who had been a constant presence at the White House as his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was dismantling the government, was the match that lit the fuse of the Jeffrey Epstein chaos that currently has the president and his inner circle back on their heels.

'Ghislaine Maxwell is a liar': Former Bondi appointee undercuts DOJ's fishing expedition

A former Florida prosecutor who was tabbed by then-Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi as her "drug czar" laughed off attempts by the Department of Justice to get information out of a convicted child sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, during an appearance on MSNBC Saturday afternoon.

Appearing with host Alex Witt, former Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg was quick to point out that the partner in crime of pedophile Jeffrey Epstein was charged with perjury during Trump's first administration which automatically makes anything she spills to the DOJ suspect.

After earlier pointing out that he is a longtime friend of Maxwell attorney David Oscar Markus. Aronberg said the lawyer and his client are doing a "dance" to obtain a Donald Trump pardon which should not even be under consideration.

"I'm curious how you interpret the revelation that [DOJ official and former Trump lawyer] Todd Blanche asked Maxwell about 100 people. We don't know if that's factually a correct number or just a generic one he's throwing out there, but does it suggest to you some kind of a list and is whatever she said the definitive word on guilt or innocence of those 100 or so people?" the MSNBC host asked.

"Ghislaine Maxwell is a liar," a smirking Aronberg replied. "She was charged with perjury back in 2020 by the Trump administration, and now they want to believe her. They want to believe her because they want her to tease the [MAGA] base by saying there is a list of 100 people, even if it's not officially a list, there are 100 people out there because that's what the base wants to hear."

"So Trump is trying to give the base what they want without releasing the files," he added before asking and answering, "Will it work? I don't think so. And you can see the language that the lawyer David Markus used here. 'She was treated unfairly.' You called it, Alex, there are no coincidences here. This is the dance I was talking about; you use the language of Donald Trump, that's how to get to him, that's how to get a pardon. "

Trump labeled a 'lying scumbag' as lawmaker accuses him of 'groping' Epstein victims

Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA) called Donald Trump a "lying scumbag," multiple times on MSNBC on Saturday morning while leveling accusations that the president had "groped" sexual assault victims of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Brought on by host Ali Velshi to talk about House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) shutting the chamber down early for summer recess to avoid a bipartisan bid to obtain the so-called Epstein files, Smith's repeated use of "scumbag" for the face of the Republican party seemed to stun the MSNBC host.

Asked about the Epstein files firestorm, Smith replied, "There's two big things. I mean, one, this really exposes Donald Trump as the lying scumbag that he is."

"I mean –– and look, there's a whole bunch of other policy issues, but the fundamental lack of character from Donald Trump is on display here," he continued. "He lied about the Epstein files for years, trying to use them against Democrats, by making up conspiracy theories that were all lies and, I mean, the lies are across the board. "

"And you've seen it this week lying about what President Obama was doing on the Russia investigation. I mean, lies are the cornerstone of how he governs, and we need to expose him on that," he added. "And then the scumbag piece is, here he is hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein. And by the way, several of the people who were abused and sexually assaulted by Epstein have accused. Donald Trump of groping them and other sexually inappropriate behavior towards them."

"You know, we're trying to get the majority back in the House and hopefully the Senate so we can begin to stop just the cascade of horrible things that the Trump administration is doing and here we have Republicans doing the bidding of a lying scumbag and undermining victims of sexual assault by turning their backs on them," he accused.

'Stupid and disgusting' Candace Owens buried by CNN's Enten in stunning rant

To the obvious delight of journalist Jemele Hill, CNN data guru Harry Enten dominated a panel discussion on conservative conspiracy-spewer Candace Owens who is being sued by Emanuel and Brigitte Macron for accusing the wife of the French president of being a man.

On Saturday's edition of CNN's "Table for Five," host Abby Phillip brought up the lawsuit in which the French president and his wife accused Owens of attempting "to promote her independent platform, gain notoriety, and make money."

With hardly a pause, Enten launched into a fierce rant that had the entire table sitting back and watching while he went off.

With Phillips calling Owens' bizarre accusations and harassment of the couple "amazing," Enten shot back 'That has got to be one of the dumbest arguments I have ever heard, first off."

He then exclaimed, "Second off, I mean, not only is she stupid, but she's also disgusting, right? I mean, Candace Owens has got to be one of the most disgusting folks who ever gets airplay on any major network."

"And this is actually not even the worst of Candace Owens," Phillips added.

"No! She's an anti-Semite, yeah, she's an anti-Semite. She's anti-gay, she's an anti-Semite. She has said stuff about the history of slavery in this country that's disgusting," he exclaimed as Hill shook her head in agreement.

"Yes, it's funny insofar, you know, that, you know, her statements make no sense," he added. "But when we really get to the core of the issue, she's just a disgusting human being and that's the bottom line."

'You don't have immunity': Stephen Miller and ICE agents put on notice by legal expert

Government employees who have been doing Donald Trump's dirty work during his second term should take note that the president recently admitted they may not have immunity for their actions.

And that includes White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller and ICE agents who have been assaulting and snatching immigrants off U.S. streets whether they are in the country legally or not.

That was a warning given by conservative attorney George Conway on MSNBC on Saturday morning where he talked about, among other topics, Trump's appointees going up to the line and sometimes over thereby breaking the law.

Speaking with the hosts of "The Weekend," Conway stated, "There's no check against him anymore, there's no checks. He actually, by the way, he was a lot more coherent a few years ago than yesterday, but let's set that aside."

"His mental acuity," co-host Eugene Daniels interjected.

"Yeah, no," Conway replied. "Everything is –– he's a narcissist. He's the most profoundly narcissistic individual we've ever seen in American politics. It's all me, me, me, me, me, there is no other to him. The government belongs to him, he talks about his generals. It was always going to be his Justice Department and he was always going to view the Justice Department and the attorney general and everybody who works for the attorney general to the lowest US assistant, US attorney in the smallest district in the country."

"And let me just say, I mean, it's working for all these people who want these nice jobs, right, that they're not qualified for, like Alina Habba and the guy in the Northern District of New York," he added.

"But you know, Trump said something before the break in his incoherent way that, actually, the people who work for him now should remember," he pointed out. "He [Trump] said that the people who work for Obama, they're not protected by the immunity decision. Well, all you people who are getting those jobs right now working for Donald Trump, whether you be the lowliest ICE agent or Stephen Miller himself? You better watch it because you don't have immunity."

That earned him a "Wow!" from Jonathan Capehart.

Trump warned by lawyer he's on the verge of 'pushing a big bomb to blow himself up'

Any thought that Donald Trump might have about issuing a pardon to convicted human sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell should be squashed immediately if he wants to have a chance of surviving the Jeffrey Epstein files firestorm, according to one lawyer.

During an appearance on MNBC's "The Weekend," conservative attorney George Conway, who is no fan of the president, had some advice for Trump as his DOJ works with Maxwell for possible testimony.

When it comes to offering a pardon to Maxwell after her conviction on child sex trafficking and felony conspiracy among other charges, Conway suggested Trump would be toying with fate.

Speaking with the host, he quizzed them about previous Trump pardons by asking, "What did Roger Stone and [Paul] Manafort get charged with and what were they found guilty of?"

"Oh gosh, I mean, that's like a decade ago. I can't even remember," Jonathan Capehart admitted.

"You will always remember what Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted of –– that's the point," Conway exclaimed. "It's very simple. It's like it's worse than just this abstract. You know, this went on for years. This is what, a thousand victims? Two of the women who talked, they were girls when they were molested. Two of the victims who testified, or two of the four who testified at trial, were 14. 14 -year-old girls when Epstein first had sex with them."

"Ghislaine Maxwell was right there telling them what to do, how to do it, taking their passports away so they couldn't get off Epstein Island, okay?" he elaborated. "This is not going to work for Donald Trump, okay? He does this, he's pushing a big bomb to blow himself up."

The co-hosts of MSNBC's "The Weekend" dissolved in laughter on Saturday morning after sharing a clip from the recent "South Park" episode that brutally mocked Donald Trump.

Then they totally lost it over a clip they could not show in which an AI-generated Trump took off off his clothes as he wandered the desert (which can be seen here.)

Hegseth hit with 'rare intervention' as Pentagon generals grow tired of his act: NYT

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is facing growing opposition from Pentagon generals, including from the current chairman of the Joint Chiefs, as questions about his leadership grow.

According to a Saturday report from the New York Times, a recent decision by the former Fox News personality to deny a promotion to senior Army officer Lt. Gen. Douglas A. Sims II, because Hegseth believed he was a leaker, set off a furor at the Pentagon.

As the Times' Greg Jaffe, Eric Schmitt and Helene Cooper reported, after Sims was cleared of allegations of leaking, Hegseth agreed to the promotion only to later change his mind.

"Mr. Hegseth’s sudden reversal prompted a rare intervention from Gen. Dan Caine, the current chairman of the Joint Chiefs. He urged Mr. Hegseth to reconsider," the Times is reporting before adding, "Mr. Hegseth met with General Sims one final time but refused to budge."

The report notes that the latest clash with the generals is part of a growing problem as questions grow about the embattled secretary's performance.

"Mr. Hegseth’s actions could shape the military’s top ranks for years to come. His insistence on absolute loyalty, backed with repeated threats of polygraphs, also creates uncertainty and mistrust that threaten to undermine the readiness and effectiveness of the force," Pentagon insiders told the Times.

With the report noting that firings and resignations have left Hegseth with a "skeleton staff of civilian aides to run his office," the report adds, "The infighting, investigations and personnel churn have strained Mr. Hegseth’s ability to manage critical operations in the Pentagon."

The Times is reporting that Pentagon officials have grown weary of Hegseth's continual photo-ops, noting, "including one that he posted from Omaha Beach in Normandy in which he joins Army Rangers carrying a soldier on a stretcher as part of D-Day remembrances — are distractions that serve primarily to bolster his image."
