Wife of alleged MN shooter possessed gun and passports in traffic stop: report

The wife of the 57-year-old man accused of "targeted" shootings of two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses was briefly detained by police Saturday morning at a convenience store, reports KSTP.

With the manhunt for Vance Boelter proceeding after he was singled out for the home invasion shooting of DFL State Sen. John Hoffman’s and State Rep. Melissa Hortman (R) and their spouses, with Hoetman and her husband dying at the scene, his wife, Jenny Boelter ,was confronted by police officers in Onamia , MN.

According to KSTP's reporting, a car containing Boelter’s wife, as well as three other relatives, was seen being surrounded by police.

The report adds, "Sources say a traffic stop was done between 10 and 11 a.m. A witness says about a dozen law enforcement squads converged on the vehicle and remained on the scene for two to three hours."

KSTP's report added, "Two sources tell 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS the vehicle contained a weapon, ammunition, cash and passports. However, to our knowledge, no one has been arrested – just questioned."
