Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) appeared to be emotional during the videos shown at the impeachment trial on Wednesday.
MSBC producer Kyle Griffin tweeted the observation after footage was shown of the Capitol Police officer was being squeezed between the doors. Lankford bowed his head and bent down.
"Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) put his hand on his colleague's arm, appearing to comfort him," said Griffin.

Lankford, who was once the head of a youth summer camp for Baptist teens, isn't generally known as a big party player. He isn't expected to support the conviction of former President Donald Trump, however. Lankford was the one speaking about the election protests when the Senate was adjurned and members were told to flee for safety.
Lankford didn't support the impeachment, saying "[T]his is political theater...In a moment when [we need] to unite, this trial will only create even deeper divisions."
