Vice President JD Vance turned heads for a particular remark he made in an address to the American people released on Wednesday.
"Give us another chance, or give us another couple of years to continue to work on the amazing things that we've been doing for the past two years," said Vance.
The pleading nature of this request, coming at a moment when polls show Democrats in a strong position to take the majority in at least one chamber of Congress in November, prompted a round of mockery from social media commenters.

"After all, there's still more wars to be waged, more crypto scams to be launched, more record high gas prices to be imposed, more food assistance to be cut, more Epstein files to be suppressed," wrote political YouTuber Brian Tyler Cohen.
