Four Democratic House lawmakers receive bomb threats at home on Thanksgiving

At least four Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives received bomb threats at their homes on Thanksgiving Day.

In a statement, Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT), the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, revealed police responded to a threat targeting his home, but "no evidence of a bomb was found."

"There is no place for political violence in his country, and I hope that we may all continue through the holiday season with peace and civility," Hines said.

Connecticut Democratic Reps. Joe Courtney, Jahana Hayes, and John Larson also released statements confirming that bomb threats had targeted their homes.

In each case, law enforcement responded but did not locate explosive devices.

Several of President-elect Donald Trump's nominees were targeted with bomb threats on Wednesday.
