Special counsel Hur accused of working to satisfy 'angry Republicans' with Biden jabs

Attempting to explain what MSNBC host Joe Scarborough called "gratuitous" attacks on President Joe Biden in special counsel Robert Hur's report on government documents found in Biden's garage, legal analyst Ken Dilanian accused the Donald Trump-appointed former U.S. attorney of trying to placate Republicans.

After the clearly furious Scarborough mocked Hur as a fake "neurologist" with a degree from the fraudulent Trump University, Dilanian explained that the attack on Biden would give Hur something to use in his defense for not bringing charges against the sitting president when he is interrogated by angry Republicans.

U.S. Senate votes to start work on Ukraine aid in shock turnaround

U.S. senators cleared a first hurdle Thursday to a sweeping foreign aid package -- including a $60 billion lifeline for Ukraine -- although opposition from right-wing allies of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump means final passage remains far from guaranteed.

The procedural vote to at least consider the bill marked a stunning about-face by Senate Republicans.

'A neurologist from Trump University': Furious Morning Joe rips Biden special counsel Hur

Kicking off Friday morning's "Morning Joe," co-host Mika Brzezinski didn't even get a chance to finish describing the report from special counsel Robert Hur before Joe Scarborough cut her off and dropped the hammer on the Donald Trump-appointed former U.S. attorney.

With Brzezinski pointing to Hur suggesting that President Joe Biden is "a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory" who would not hold up on the witness stand if he was prosecuted over government documents, a fuming Scarborough jumped in.

"A neurologist and a lawyer," the MSNBC sarcastically interjected to which Brzezinski replied, "Let me finish, but I agree."

"You kind of need to stop there," Scarborough continued by adding, "A neurologist from Trump University. I've got to stop right here, I know we want to go on and finish this report."

"So bizarre, so many people that immediately heard these random conclusions, irrelevant conclusions, politically charged, Trump-like ramblings," he added.

'We won't be silenced!' Protesters shout at Louis DeJoy at USPS meeting

As the U.S. Postal Service Board of Governors on Thursday held a meeting in Washington, D.C., frustrated USPS workers, customers, and union officials rallied outside to protest a new limit on public comment and the agency's austerity plan.

While the quarterly meetings have previously included an hour of in-person and virtual public testimony, the USPS board has shifted to only taking comments once annually, a move that outraged critics of Postmaster General Louis DeJoy—a GOP donor appointee of former President Donald Trump—and his 10-year "Delivering for America" plan.

'He says the stupidest things!' Ana Navarro clashes with conservative on Trump 'gaffes'

The View's Ana Navarro clashed with conservative Scott Jennings on Thursday on CNN after she suggested President Joe Biden gets harsher "scrutiny" than former President Trump.

Their discussion was sparked by Biden appearing in a press conference where he addressed Special Counsel Robert Hur's decision to not recommend criminal charges for mishandling classified documents, as well as his description of the 81-year-old Democrat's memory as “hazy”, “fuzzy”, “faulty”, “poor” and having “significant limitations”.

Biden report's comments about his memory spawn conspiracy theories from conservatives

The Special Counsel report into President Joe Biden's handling of classified documents didn't recommend any criminal charges, yet there were comments within it about memory. Those comments were hailed by Donald Trump, but other conservatives see a warning sign flashing.

Some right-wingers are turning to conspiracy theories by suggesting that the special counsel slamming Biden is a bad thing for their side because it shows a plan to replace Biden with someone more palatable to the general public. Many have suggested Gavin Newsom, California's governor.

'Mark my words': Ex-prosecutor predicts Trump's next legal filing in documents case

Trump's legal team is probably typing away on their filing to get his classified documents obstruction case scrapped now that President Joe Biden dodged criminal charges.

Former federal prosecutor Elie Honig said the win for Biden to avoid criminal prosecution for being found to possess boxes of classified documents in his garage was a "close call" and may have cracked the window for Trump counsel to make a bid to convince the judge to stick a fork in his Florida federal case.

'Jack Smith files a scathing response' after Trump tries to delay docs trial: legal expert

Donald Trump's latest attempt to delay the classified documents criminal trial was met with a "scathing response" from Special Counsel Jack Smith, one legal expert said on Thursday.
