Critics rip No Labels as useful idiots for Trump campaign

No Labels have been around since 2010, describing its outlook as "bipartisan" and helping found the centrist House Problem Solvers Caucus in 2017. Along the way, No Labels' supporters have included a combination of Blue Dog Democrats, non-MAGA Republicans and independents.

But in 2023, No Labels has received some scathing criticism from Never Trump conservatives who are supporting President Joe Biden in the 2024 election — most notably, The Lincoln Project, whose Rick Wilson has slammed it as being a group of useful idiots for the Donald Trump campaign. Wilson considers Trump a dangerous, corrupt authoritarian and has been warning that No Labels could help him win in 2024 if it runs a third-party presidential candidate.

‘How fascists act’: Trump slammed for demanding Biden weaponize government to help him

Overnight, amid a flurry of social media posts, Donald Trump demanded President Joe Biden weaponize the federal government to "come down hard" on a news media outlet to benefit the indicted ex-president's 2024 political campaign. While attacking the press is part of Trump's regular tactics, this time he's getting widely criticized for his thinly-veiled threat he will do what he's demanding of Biden if he retakes the White House.

The First Amendment is clear, and numerous rulings have shown the federal government cannot censor or dictate how or what the free press reports. It can, and has, asked for coverage of a story, and can direct a news outlet's attention to an issue, but it cannot stop the media from reporting on a presidential candidate.

'Incredibly stupid campaign': Analyst sees Trump blowing lead by repeating past mistakes

Former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden are apparently locked in a tight race with a year to go until the election — but, according to an analyst, Trump is set to blow it by repeating mistakes.

Biden to take on Boebert in her home state after she attacked 'garbage' bill

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has been furiously railing against the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, attacking it as a "massive failure" and calling for it to be "repealed." The far-right MAGA Republican has been equally critical of the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021, which she attacked as "garbage" despite the fact that it enjoyed the support of conservative Republicans like former Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH) and Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC).

President Joe Biden, meanwhile, has been touting those laws as some of his top achievements.
