Kenosha County Circuit Court Judge Bruce Schroeder on Wednesday ranted in court about criticisms he's been receiving from CNN.

During Tuesday's hearing, Schroeder responded to criticisms he's received for instructing attorneys in the case to not refer to the two people who were fatally shot by Rittenhouse last year as "victims."

"There are people on the media, on reputable sites, that are saying things that are totally bizarre," Schroeder said, according to TownHall reporter Julio Rosas and CNN's Shimon Prokupecz, both of whom were watching the hearing.

Schroeder singled out CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin for criticism and said that he appeared to be unfamiliar with Wisconsin rules and cases.

Schroeder has come under criticism for telling attorneys to not refer to the people Rittenhouse shot as victims despite the fact that he will allow attorneys to describe them as "rioters."

Schroeder has also refused to send jurors questionnaires aimed at determining whether they have any political biases that could impact their judgement, despite the fact that the case is politically charged.
