Axios reported an ominous warning that they expect more news about the company that will surface over the coming days.

Facebook has come under fire after it was revealed that they had a study revealing that teen girls were more susceptible to suicide after using Instagram.

Facebook VP of global affairs Nick Clegg told Axios: "We need to steel ourselves for more bad headlines in the coming days, I'm afraid."

Leaked materials from Facebook are also revealing the partisan slant of the social network and that conservatives have been given preference over the past several years, according to leaked documents that are now being called "The Facebook Papers."

According to the memo obtained by Axios, Clegg said that news coverage will likely "contain mischaracterizations of our research, our motives and where our priorities lie," and said employees must "listen and learn from criticism when it is fair, and push back strongly when it is not."

"But, above all else," he continued, "we should keep our heads held high and do the work we came here to do."
