Fans of President Donald Trump's Make America Great Again movement went berserk on Sunday after country music star Kacey Musgraves called on her fans to donate to an organization that helps children whose parents have been deported.
Musgraves stopped her show in Chicago on Saturday night to make the plea to her audience, Fox News reported.
“It’s not a political thing. It’s just, these kids need help,” the country star told the crowd at the United Center. She then asked her fans to donate to the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights, a Chicago-based nonprofit that advocates and provides services for immigrant and undocumented children who have been separated from their parents.
MAGA fans blasted Musgraves on social media, with some calling on other fans to cancel Musgraves because of it.
"How about donating money to help kids whose parents have been killed by illegal immigrants!" Vince Langman, a MAGA influencer, posted on X. "What happened to the country music industry?"
"Kacey Musgraves is worth $15 million. Yet she’s asking fans who already paid $150 to $350 for tickets to donate to support the children of illegal aliens," Gina Milan, a MAGA political commentator, posted on X. "If she cares that much, she can fund it herself and let them live in one of her multi-million-dollar mansions."
"Be like Ella Langley. S--- on Kacey Musgraves," Karen Kennedy, a MAGA fan, posted on X.
"Deport her too," Ethan Buchanan, a MAGA radio host, posted on X.
