Rep. Seth Magaziner (D-RI) unloaded on Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin after the fatal shootings by Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Biddeford, Maine, and Houston, Texas.

According to The Hill, Magaziner delivered a furious speech on the floor of the House in response to the violence.

“When will this madness stop? When he took his position, Secretary Mullin said that his goal was to get the department off the front page of the news,” said Magaziner, referencing Mullin's remarks at his confirmation hearing that “My goal in six months is that we’re not in the lead story every single day. My goal is for people to understand we’re out there, we’re protecting them, and we’re working with them.”

“Well, you’re back on the god... front page now, with two innocent people gunned down in broad daylight,” shouted Magaziner.

The victim in Maine has now been identified as Joan Sebastian Guerrero. His shooting has triggered an explosion of outrage in Maine, with furious protesters descending on the office of Republican Sen. Susan Collins.

Faced with the highest levels of backlash since the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minneapolis earlier this year, ICE has suspended its traffic stop operations for the time being.
