The Department of Justice reportedly suspended at least two federal prosecutors after they acknowledged that rioters attacked the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

'Bang, bang you're dead, liberal': Video shows federal agent pointing gun at protester

A federal agent reportedly pointed a gun at a peaceful protester in Chicago, telling him, "You're dead, liberal."

In an order two weeks ago, U.S. District Court Judge Sara Ellis said that federal agents must issue two warnings if they determine that crowds pose a risk. On Friday, she ordered Border Patrol chief Greg Bovino to personally appear in court this week after he appeared to violate that order, which barred agents from deploying teargas and other weapons against journalists, protesters, and anyone not posing a threat.

MAGA candidate earns unenviable title with 'painfully stupid' move: analyst

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton elbowed his way to the front of a crowded field to grab the title of “Most Wretched Republican Bootlicker” with a "painfully stupid" move, according to a columnist.

The Republican attorney general filed what Salon's Amanda Marcotte described as a "nuisance lawsuit" against drug makers Johnson & Johnson and Kenvue, falsely alleging the pharmaceutical companies had concealed an unproven link between Tylenol and autism that was hyped last month by President Donald Trump and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Trump claim that DOJ plotted against him undercut by reporting in new book

President Donald Trump's claim that the Department of Justice engaged in a conspiracy against him, which is at the heart of his proposal that he be reimbursed $230 million for his legal fees and pain, falls apart under an examination of former Attorney General Merrick Garland’s meddling, according to a columnist.

According to MSNBC’s Ken Dilanian, a new book by MSNBC investigative correspondent Carol Leonnig and Washington Post reporter Aaron C. Davis documents Garland forcing investigators to take it slow while investigating the then-former president over his involvement in the Jan. 6 insurrection and stolen government documents recovered from Mar-a-Lago after he lost re-election.

'Head-scratching' judge ruling sets Trump lawyer up for blistering public putdown: expert

A ruling by U.S. District Court Judge Cameron McGowan Currie has some legal experts “scratching their heads” as it appears to be putting newly-appointed U.S. Attorney Lindsay Halligan in the position for a face-to-face smack-down next Monday.

That is the opinion of former litigator and current MSNBC legal analyst Lisa Rubin, who claimed there is more than enough evidence for the judge to dismiss the case against New York Attorney General Letitia James for bank fraud out of hand, but she is holding off until Monday where she will take up both the James case and the indictment of former FBI Director James Comey.

'Whoa!' Trump mimics Indian Prime Minister's accent in bizarre speech

President Donald Trump delivered a bizarre monologue about Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Gyeongju, South Korea — and capped it with a cringeworthy impression of an Indian accent.
