Health and longevity influencer Dr. Peter Attia has left CBS News after newly released files in the Jeffrey Epstein case revealed email correspondence between him and the late financier and convicted child sex offender, according to reports.

The fallout over his relationship with Epstein prompted Attia to leave his contributor role, which he was recently given by Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss just days before the Department of Justice released a new batch of materials in the Epstein files, The New York Times reported. More than 1,700 documents included Attia's name and conversations between the two men.

France has revoked government access to U.S. Ambassador Charles Kushner, the father of President Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, after he "did not appear" when he was summoned over comments made by the U.S. administration about the death of far-right activist Quentin Deranque, AFP reported.

On Monday, French Foreign Affairs Minister Jean-Noel Barrot summoned Jared Kushner's father in reaction to a State Department posting on X, which claimed that "reports, corroborated by the French Minister of the Interior, that Quentin Deranque was killed by left-wing militants, should concern us all."

A cryptocurrency firm accused of involvement in shady overseas dealings had internal whistleblowers flag $1.7 billion in payments to Iran before President Donald Trump pardoned its CEO, The New York Times reported on Monday.

"People in Iran had gained access to more than 1,500 accounts on the Binance platform over the previous year. About $1.7 billion had flowed from two Binance accounts to Iranian entities with links to terrorist groups, a possible violation of global sanctions. And one of those accounts belonged to a Binance vendor," said the report. "After uncovering the transactions, the investigators reported them to top executives, according to company records and other documents."

A report from The Telegraph found that Epstein apparently paid private investigators to remove computers and photographs from his Florida home, including computers from his private island in the Caribbean, and hide the items in an attempt to obstruct investigators. Credit card payments for the storage units continued through 2019, the year he died while awaiting trial on federal charges related to his exploitation of underage girls.

Key witness to ICE killing dies in car crash

A key witness in a controversial Immigration and Customs Enforcement killing of an American citizen died Saturday in an unrelated vehicle crash, sparking questions as to whether the witness’ passing may “hurt the investigations going forward,” The New York Times reported Monday.

Ruben Ray Martinez, a 23-year-old U.S. citizen, was killed last year by an ICE agent, with the Department of Homeland Security accusing him of having struck an ICE agent with their vehicle. However, DHS’ account of the incident was fiercely disputed by Martinez’ childhood friend, Joshua Orta, who was present during the encounter and claimed neither had offered any resistance to ICE officers’ demands.
