White House trade adviser Peter Navarro had a camera problem on Friday, and C-SPAN’s microphone caught him complaining about it.
“So, this s---head at the pool camera won’t turn on the camera,” Navarro said into his phone outside the West Wing. He was standing in front of a row of microphones. Looking particularly bewildered, he added, "What's the deal with that?"
Journalist Aaron Rupar posted the clip on X, where it has drawn more than 305,000 views.
“Shame C-SPAN didn’t take more of this,” Rupar wrote.
“Say it with me friends...every mic, is a hot mic,” wrote political strategist Andrew Tumilty.
Navarro served four months in federal prison in 2024 for defying a subpoena from the House Jan. 6 committee.
Later on X, Navarro complained further, "I brought one of the year's biggest economic stories to the White House podium, and the legacy media didn't bother to show up. 500+ new factory projects across 47 states. So if the networks won’t report it, I will."
