QAnon congresswoman ripped for encouraging ‘further violence’ with outrageous new lie

As the House prepares to vote on whether to strip Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) of her committee assignments following the revelations about her conspiracy theories on 9/11 and Jewish lasers and her endorsement of executing prominent Democrats, Greene sent out an email to followers declaring herself to be the victim of liberal hypocrisy.

"The liberals here in Washington, D.C., are entirely out of control," wrote Greene. "What did they do when AOC encouraged protesters to 'punch a cop'?"

There's just one problem: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) never said that. "Punch That Cop" was a slogan used at a political protest that she mentioned in a tweet in 2019, but she never said or endorsed that slogan herself.

Ocasio-Cortez was quick to respond to the smear, calling for Greene to be expelled from the House. "What Greene is doing pumping this lie to her insurrectionist base is making them feel justified in further violence," she tweeted.

Greene's removal from her committees is likely to be handed down by a vote of the full House on Thursday evening.
