A Florida man who was caught on video assaulting Capitol police officers with a fire extinguisher during the January 6th MAGA riots has reportedly been arrested by federal officials.

Huffington Post reports that 53-year-old Robert Scott Palmer has been arrested, roughly two weeks after Huffington Post successfully identified him with the help of an online sleuth.

Although the charges against Palmer have not yet been publicly released, Huffington Post discovered court records confirming his arrest.

In an interview with the publication earlier this month, Palmer confirmed that he attended the pro-Trump rally in Washington D.C. on January 6th and admitted that he was wearing an American flag jacket along with a red "Florida for Trump" hat.

However, he quickly became defensive when the publication informed him of footage showing him assaulting police.

"I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not saying anything -- anything more," he said at the time. "OK?"
