MAGA freaks out after Trump is removed from ballot in a third state
A state judge in Illinois has ruled that former President Donald Trump cannot appear on the primary ballot due to being disqualified under the Insurrection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment — the third state where this has happened, after Colorado and Maine.
The Supreme Court is scheduled to rule any day now on whether states are allowed to do this, and many legal experts believe they are likely to come down against it. But in the meantime, Trump supporters reacted to the news with a fresh wave of fury — some of them pushing conspiracy theories, and most of them attacking Cook County Circuit Judge Tracie Porter, who issued the ruling.
"They rigged the election in 2020 and they're trying to do it again in 2024," wrote Trump influencer Collin Rugg. "During a recent show, Tucker Carlson explained how the 2024 election was 'rigged,' specifically pointing at how the left changed the rules with mail-in ballots. For those who are new here, the 2020 election was the first election in 70 years where bellwether counties did *not* successfully elect the US president. It was also the same election where the rules were changed and ballots were dumped into blue cities."

"Meet radical Democrat Cook County Circuit Judge Tracie R. Porter, who just ordered President Trump removed from the Illinois primary ballot," wrote "LivePDDave." "Who else thinks Tracie Porter is a disgrace to the judiciary and a sh-tstain on the rule of law?"
"Is this democracy?" one user named Travis posted. "One radical judge can remove a Presidential candidate from the ballot because she doesn’t like him? She claims it’s due to the 14th amendment, but we all know the truth."
"Corrupt judge Tracie Porter removed Trump from the Illinois primary and general election ballot for partaking in an insurrection," wrote "Kelli Kay." "When was Trump or anyone charged with insurrection? How many corrupt fu-king judges are in our country??"
"An Illinois judge in Cook County has just removed President Trump from the state’s ballot," wrote "Pamela Hensley." "What a joke. Cook County is one of the most corrupt in the country. This crooked judge should be locked up."
