New York Magazine's Jonathan Chait is making the case that left-wing activists may have harmed Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign by pushing her and other candidates to take unpopular positions on transgender rights.

One of Donald Trump's favorite campaign ads is currently bombarding sporting events and is claiming that Kamala Harris wants to give away free gender-transition surgery for prisoners and immigration detainees.

TOPEKA — Kansas Republicans lambasted a Manhattan-area Democratic candidate who used a racial slur in a 2020 Facebook post that detailed the candidate’s feelings about an outburst she witnessed.

Kim Zito, a Democrat running for House District 67, posted to Facebook, “F**K YOU N*****S!!!!” preceded by a middle finger emoji on Nov. 9, 2020. The post continues, “I write that because I want you to see that. That’s what we heard yday (sic) while we were cheering for our new President and our first female VP.”

This comes after an elections board in Georgia, whose majority was backed by former President Donald Trump, tried to change election rules to make the counting process slower and give power to county officials to delay election certification, only for a judge to smack down these changes. Early voting opened this week in Georgia with a record-shattering turnout for the first day.

A federal judge fired back during a hearing Thursday morning at an attorney defending the DeSantis administration in the legal dispute over its threats to broadcasters airing an ad in support of the abortion-rights amendment.

Tallahassee U.S. District Judge Mark Walker asked Brian Barnes point-blank whether the ad at issue stated that Florida’s six-week ban lacks an exception to protect the life of the mother. Barnes, who represents Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo in the suit filed by the sponsoring organization for Amendment 4, responded that the ad implied a lack of exceptions.

Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) responded to reports on withering criticism he leveled at Donald Trump which was revealed Thursday in a forthcoming biography.

Michael Tackett, deputy Washington bureau chief of The Associated Press, wrote in his new book, "The Price of Power," that McConnell had called the former president “stupid as well as being ill-tempered,” a “despicable human being” and a “narcissist.”

Oklahoma Superintendent Ryan Walters is being sued by dozens of Oklahomans over his classroom Bible mandate that some critics have claimed is a backdoor plot to enrich former President Donald Trump.

Local news station KOCO reports that 32 state residents, including teachers, parents, and even faith leaders, are asking the Oklahoma State Supreme Court to block Walters' initiative, which it describes as an "extremist agenda that imposes his personal religious beliefs on other people’s children."

An Arizona judge chastised former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani for alleging without evidence that he was being prosecuted for political reasons.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, outraged over claims he's circulated that CBS News doctored a clip of a "60 Minutes" interview with Kamala Harris, hurled threats at the national news network Thursday and said he was willing extract evidence from them "the hard way."

Reacting to reports that Donald Trump is allegedly trying to buy the silence of adult film star Stormy Daniels again, former SDNY prosecutor Kristy Greenberg claimed the former president may have very good reasons to be alarmed.

With the election less than three weeks away, NBC is reporting that Trump's legal team reached out Trump's one-time paramour during the summer and offered a deal if she stayed out of the headlines before voters go to the polls.

Daniels is currently on the hook for a substantial payout to Trump after being ordered to pay his legal fees after losing a defamation case and, as NBC News is reporting, Trump's legal team wrote to her lawyer and offered, "...we can agree to settle these matters for $620,000, provided that your client agrees in writing to make no public or private statements related to any alleged past interactions with President Trump, or defamatory or disparaging statements about him, his businesses and/or any affiliates or his suitability as a candidate for President.”

Speaking with MSNBC host Ana Cabrera, Greenberg laughed and explained, "It's déjà vu all over again –– the man never learns."

"So what I think may actually be going on here, there was a really interesting filing during the course of this trial, where essentially the prosecutor said, yes, that Stormy Daniels testimony was cringe, there was a lot of detail there, but we didn't even get to the most embarrassing stuff. We were restrained when we put her on the stand."

"And so there's a filing, a report under seal, that has all that embarrassing detail, and I guess that is maybe what Donald Trump does not want Stormy Daniels to talk about," she suggested.

Donald Trump, courting Latino voters, appeared at a Univision-hosted town hall in Doral, Florida Wednesday where he repeated many of his familiar lies to undecided Hispanic voters. With less than three weeks to Election Day, Trump disparaged Haitian immigrants, and called for the deportation of undocumented workers who harvest food for the country while claiming they were taking jobs from Black and Hispanic workers. Trump at times seemed either unwilling or unable to provide answers to their questions.

Univision, the nation's largest Spanish-language television network, reported (via a Google translation), "the former president did not answer several of the questions posed to him by the participants, Hispanic voters who define themselves as undecided and were randomly selected for this program. Some of these questions were tough, such as when one wanted to know if, with all the evidence that exists, he still believes that climate change is a hoax or if Haitians in Springfield, Ohio, eat their neighbors' pets."
