Republicans who've sworn off former President Donald Trump think he was on the receiving end of a "beatdown" on the debate stage Tuesday night against Vice President Kamala Harris.

"Harris lit him up and melted his orange face paint like the Nazis in Indiana Jones," the Lincoln Project, which bills itself as a leading pro-democracy organization, said in a statement following the debate. "He's f-----."

Former President Donald Trump insisted he "doesn't care what she is" when asked about his questioning of Vice President Kamala Harris' racial identity, prompting the Democrat to respond it's a "tragedy" that someone so divisive wants to be president.
