‘Incoherent’ and ‘scared’: Trump slammed over latest abortion statement

After pledging to ban abortion in 2016 and saying there should be “some sort of punishment” for women who have one, and after bragging repeatedly about personally ending Roe v. Wade, in two new statements over the past twelve hours Donald Trump is now telling supporters his latest stance on abortion is the states have been given the right to decide, without saying if he would sign a nationwide abortion ban – while insisting Republicans "have an obligation" to "win elections."

Vanity Fair's and MSNBC's Molly Jong-Fast posted video of Trump in 2016 calling for punishment of women who have abortions.

'Lots of room for mischief': Expert slams new right-wing tactic for threatening election

Ahead of the 2024 election, Mark Cook has agreed to pack his suitcase and travel throughout his state of Arizona "for a mission he said he was called to by God," according to The Guardian.

He's "one of several quasi-disciples of Mike Lindell and other big-name election influencers who have been spreading the hand-count gospel around the country since 2020, when Donald Trump began claiming without evidence that ballot tabulating machines were rigged against him."

RNC's new leaders 'admonished' by Trump campaign after purge backfires: report

The Republican National Committee is experiencing a host of problems in the wake of its takeover by allies of Donald Trump, causing his campaign to privately admonish the RNC's new leaders over their performance. Now, insiders are saying the MAGA takeover of the RNC has partly backfired and the consequences will be far-reaching.

Just days after the organization's new chair Michael Whatley and new co-chair Lara Trump were elected, entire teams were informed by email that they could reapply for their jobs or else be terminated. In their subsequent job interviews, the staffers were reportedly asked questions such as whether they thought the 2020 election was stolen — an attempt to weed out anyone who was not completely loyal to Trump.

'Deeply disappointed': Top anti-abortion group whacks Trump for punting issue

Top anti-abortion activists are upset with former President Donald Trump this morning.

The former president was instrumental to the fall of Roe v. Wade, having appointed three of the Supreme Court justices who gave the green light for states to enact total bans on abortion. But that wasn't enough for many in the anti-abortion movement, and for weeks speculation has persisted over whether Trump would endorse some sort of federal ban on the procedure.

House GOP 'dreading return' to DC as MAGA 'may end' Mike Johnson's speakership: report

Congress comes back into to session this week and the Washington Post reports that House Republicans "are dreading their return to Washington" because their caucus's "deep divisions will jeopardize high-stakes legislation in a way that may end in the ouster of Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA)."

At the center of the intra-Republican feud is funding to help Ukraine resist Russia's military invasion, which is staunchly opposed by hardliners such as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who has openly said she'll push to oust Johnson as speaker if he puts a bill providing aid to the country on the House floor.
