Unlike his first term’s revolving door of firings, Trump’s second administration has stayed intact despite scandals involving figures like Kristi Noem, Pete Hegseth, Kash Patel, and Tulsi Gabbard. The Post cites Trump’s reliance on loyalists, his aversion to acknowledging mistakes, and razor-thin Senate confirmations as key reasons the shake-ups never come.

Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE) voiced his anger and frustration in response to President Donald Trump's latest effort to twist a tragedy into an attack on his political enemies.

Early in the morning, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to posthumously attack Hollywood actor and filmmaker Rob Reiner, who was found dead along with his wife on Sunday in a shocking incident that police are investigating as a homicide. Trump's post was ostensibly to extend condolences, but it immediately segued into an attack on Reiner for his years of anti-Trump activism.

Katie Miller, the wife of White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, melted down Monday over a cartoon caricature of her husband that she decried as an “abhorrent image” that could perpetuate “left-wing terror.”

The caricature was drawn by illustrator and filmmaker Matt Muhurin. It was used in an analysis published Monday in The New Republic, highlighting the irony of Stephen Miller’s fierce “anti-immigrant project” given his Jewish ancestors who fled Tsarist Russia to avoid state-sanctioned antisemitic discrimination.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) revealed Sunday that her son was pulled over by ICE agents for speeding and asked to prove his citizenship, an encounter that ignited a wave of online fury toward the Trump administration. Omar said her son was released after producing a U.S. passport, but critics noted the stop came amid weeks of Trump’s hostile rhetoric toward Somali Americans, raising alarms about racial profiling and abuse of power.

An announcement by Attorney General Pam Bondi’s Department of Justice of breaking up what she described as “what would have been a massive and horrific terror plot” in California received a small amount of skepticism on MS NOW Monday afternoon.

Earlier in the morning, the Donald Trump appointee announced on X: “The Turtle Island Liberation Front—a far-left, pro-Palestine, anti-government, and anti-capitalist group—was preparing to conduct a series of bombings against multiple targets in California beginning on New Year’s Eve. The group also planned to target ICE agents and vehicles. This was an incredible effort by our U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and the @FBI to ensure Americans can live in peace. We will continue to pursue these terror groups and bring them to justice.”

MAGA influencer Jack Posobiec was immediately proven wrong after insisting that conservatives wouldn't celebrate the death of liberal Hollywood director Rob Reiner.

"You won't see people on the right celebrating the horrific murder of Rob Reiner and his wife," Posobiec wrote on X Sunday night. "Compare to the Left's reaction to Charlie Kirk's murder."

A legal analyst said the Justice Department’s prosecution of Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) is unraveling after newly released texts showed DOJ officials knew she did not assault a federal officer during a protest against immigration enforcement in Newark. On her podcast The Breakdown, Allison Gill said the department’s failure to turn over exculpatory evidence — including video that contradicts the charging document — amounts to a damaging cover-up that could sink the case. Gill called the withheld evidence a “case killer,” arguing the facts now undercut the Trump DOJ’s claims stemming from McIver’s arrest.

Actor-director Rob Reiner warned of mounting threats to free speech and democracy during a CNN appearance in September — just three months before he and his wife, Michelle Singer, were found dead with stab wounds in their Los Angeles home, in a homicide now under investigation. There is no indication the deaths are connected to his remarks, which followed ABC and Disney’s suspension of Jimmy Kimmel after comments about a right-wing activist. Reiner said speaking out against President Donald Trump and FCC Chair Brendan Carr carried risks, describing the moment as a “war for our democracy” and accusing Trump of trampling constitutional norms.

Conservative host Ana Navarro condemned President Donald Trump's harsh attack on Rob Reiner following the death of the Hollywood director and his wife.

During Monday's edition of The View, co-host Sonny Hostin noted that the president had blamed Reiner for having "Trump Derangement Syndrome" after the murders.

Erika Kirk announced that she has scheduled a private meeting Monday with right-wing influencer Candace Owens, a fierce critic of hers who’s implied, without evidence, that Israel may have played a role in the killing of her husband, Charlie Kirk.

And, given the gravity of Owens’ criticisms hurled at Ms. Kirk, many are predicting that the meeting won’t pan out in her favor.
