'It's a coup!' MAGA melts down over Trump's big court loss

President Donald Trump's MAGA base melted down Wednesday as the president was dealt another loss in court.

A federal judge in Massachusetts ruled Wednesday that the Trump administration unlawfully withheld more than $2 billion in funding for Harvard. The order also prohibits the Trump administration from withholding future funding for the university.

White House's ominous threat to GOP lawmakers backing Epstein probe seen as an 'admission'

The White House issued an ominous threat Tuesday to GOP lawmakers considering backing a measure to release files on Jeffrey Epstein, according to NOTUS reporter Daniella Diaz.

On Tuesday, the Republican-led House Oversight Committee released 33,000 files on Epstein, the disgraced financier who died in 2019 awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges, and is alleged to have led a blackmail operation targeting powerful figures. The release, however, was met with disappointment from critics across the political spectrum, many of whom noted that a vast majority of the files were either redacted or already made public.

'No invasion': Court deals major blow to Trump's deportation plans in new ruling

President Donald Trump faced a major legal setback late Tuesday night after a federal appeals court rejected the White House’s use of an 18th-century law to speed up deportations of Venezuelan nationals.

In its efforts to swiftly deport Venezuelan migrants suspected of being members of international crime syndicates, the Trump administration has invoked the 1798 Alien Enemies Act, which allows for the swift deportation of citizens of a hostile nation the United States is at war with. Trump has routinely justified mass deportations that deny migrants due process under the guise of the United States being subjected to an “invasion.”

'He wobbles': Trump biographer says insiders worry president 'lost a step' as health sinks

One of President Donald Trump's biographers said on Tuesday that people inside the West Wing know the president has "lost a step or two," as the administration seeks to bat down negative comments about the president's health.

Michael Wolff, who has written four books on Trump, discussed Trump's health and the way the administration has discussed it in the media on a new episode of The Daily Beast's podcast, "Inside Trump's Head." Wolff argued that Trump has not faced the same criticism for his health as his predecessor, Joe Biden, even though the signs of Trump's ill health continue to pile up.

Pentagon deletes post after accidentally revealing Trump's big mystery announcement

President Donald Trump teased a major announcement on Tuesday afternoon, but the Pentagon accidentally spoiled the surprise by posting the news ahead of him—then quickly deleting it.

Dave Brown, deputy managing editor for Politico, noted that Trump lost both the element of surprise and the impact of his "Oval Office announcement slated for Tuesday afternoon." Instead, the story broke early when the Defense Department’s website inadvertently published a link to the upcoming livestream with the caption “U.S. Space Command HQ Announcement.” The reference was later removed.

Trump faces 'terrible embarrassment' as Putin publicly 'thumbs his nose' at USA: experts

Since Donald Trump’s ill-fated summit with Vladimir Putin in Alaska — at which the U.S. president teased a quick resolution to Russia's war on Ukraine that never came to pass — things have gone further south with the Russian president finding new ways to “thumb his nose” at his American counterpart.

That is the opinion of both MSNBC hosts Joe Scarborough and Willie Geist, as well as longtime Washington Post columnist David Ignatius, who all pointed out on Tuesday that Trump is being bested on the world stage by Putin.

Josh Hawley’s 'huge win' already wreaks pain on voters in his home state

It’s only been a few weeks since the Trump administration and lawmakers like Missouri Senator Josh Hawley succeeded in derailing the Grain Belt Express, a high-voltage transmission line that would have brought clean energy to much of the upper Midwest. It’s not clear whether the project will go forward, but it’s already clear that people will pay more for electricity as a result — and nowhere is that more clear than in Missouri.

The Grain Belt Express would have carried 5,000 kilowatts of wind power from Kansas across Missouri and Illinois into Indiana. The 800-mile project, slated to cost $11 billion and scheduled to begin construction next year, has drawn fire from critics, whose opposition includes its use of eminent domain to cross private property, and has been the target of Republican opponents like Hawley for well over a decade.

With Kennedy facing a firestorm over firings and ensuing resignations at the Centers for Disease Control just before the Labor Day holiday weekend, Trump waded into the chaos by telling drug companies that took part in halting the COVID pandemic they need to share data.
