'I know who the names are': 'Hired gun' behind Epstein victim book drops stunning comments

The "hired gun" co-writer behind the Jeffrey Epstein survivor book dropped a stunning statement, saying "I know who the names are."

Writer Amy Wallace, who helped complete Virginia Giuffre’s memoir, "Nobody's Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice," told News Nation Tuesday that she spent four years co-writing the book about Giuffre’s story of surviving abuse under Epstein and his convicted co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell, The Daily Beast reports.

Mike Johnson's 'own goal' is crippling the GOP's shutdown message: journalist

The Republican Party’s message to voters that the government shutdown, with no end in sight, is the fault of Democrats is being muddled by House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) whose refusal to seat a newly elected Democrat is sucking up all the oxygen in the room, according to a journalist.

During an MSNBC “Morning Joe” panel discussion on the budget impasse, Politico’s Jonathan Martin claimed Johnson is handcuffing his own party’s attacks on Democrats by not swearing in Arizona’s Adelita Grijalva, who was elected to fill her late father’s seat in the House.

'Wait until Nov. 1': Dems see GOP shutdown pain point in looming health care hike

WASHINGTON — This government shutdown is overflowing with photo-ops, talking points and finger-pointing. What’s missing — besides the House of Representatives — are actual negotiations.

The lack of a negotiating partner seems to only be unifying congressional Democrats in their demand that Congress extend Affordable Care Act (ACA — or “Obamacare”) subsidies before premiums skyrocket.

Trump lawyer makes stunning argument to discredit letter to Epstein in court

A lawyer for President Donald Trump argued Monday that a bawdy letter President Donald Trump allegedly sent to Jeffrey Epstein – that was later released by a Republican-controlled House committee – could not be proven to be the same one described in a report from The Wall Street Journal, making it an “improper” exhibit in court.

The lawyer, Alejandro Brito, made the argument via a court filing late on Monday in the case regarding Trump’s lawsuit against the Journal for its July report on the letter, which Trump has denied writing. The House Oversight Committee – which has a Republican majority and is chaired by Rep. James Comer (R-KY) – released additional files on Epstein in September, which included the letter, a birthday message written atop a crude sketch of a naked woman’s torso.

Why a tiny protest in the heart of Trump country has left MAGA terrified

The No Kings protests exploded nationwide on a massive scale last week, with millions of peaceful demonstrators occupying public places to rail against President Donald Trump's attacks on the country's freedoms — and sending Republicans scrambling to make excuses for why it wasn't that big of a deal.

But one of the most revealing aspects of the protest wasn't to be found in the huge crowds in large cities, Ana Maria Cox argued in an interview with The New Republic's Greg Sargent — it was in the town square of New Braunfels, a small city between Austin and San Antonio where Republicans are used to dominating.

'Fully MAGA now': Latest case has experts finally writing off 'arrogant' Supreme Court

When law professor Seth Chandler asked artificial intelligence to predict how the Supreme Court would rule in Trump v. CASA this summer, he won a $1 bet with a colleague. The AI-generated draft opinion proved “exactly right” about the 6-3 conservative majority ruling that limited universal injunctions in response to President Donald Trump's executive order curtailing birthright citizenship.

That might not seem too surprising — the court to which Trump appointed three justices has generally proved favorable to the president’s draconian policies, after all. Nonetheless, when the court heard oral arguments in Louisiana v. Callais last week, Chandler, who specializes in constitutional law and computer science at the University of Houston, turned to AI again.

'They were warned': Prison insider suspects massive coverup involving Ghislaine Maxwell

The Bureau of Prisons has implemented an extraordinary level of secrecy surrounding Ghislaine Maxwell's imprisonment, according to a federal prison consultant who revealed unprecedented measures have been put in place to keep every move involving her secret.

'Answer for it in Congress!' Dem lawmaker demands Kristi Noem remove 'fake' video or pay

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) made a demand to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem Saturday evening that she either remove a video posted on DHS’s official social media account – which he labeled as “fake” – or “answer for it in Congress.”

On Friday, the official DHS account on X shared a video depicting several young Black men standing intimidatingly in what appears to be a park, and with a caption threatening Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. However, critics quickly labeled the video as fake after having located the original video that bore a different caption, which instead threatened Iran.

Trump issues grave threat to major ally in menacing online post: 'Won’t be done nicely!'

President Donald Trump issued a grave threat to the South American nation Colombia Sunday, demanding of its president Gustavo Petro to “close up” its drug production operations, lest the “United States close them up for him, and it won’t be done nicely!”

“The purpose of this drug production is the sale of massive amounts of product into the United States, causing death, destruction, and havoc,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social to the major non-NATO ally nation.
