Trump served notice E. Jean Carroll's lawyer can 'get to work' on his assets next week

Donald Trump was warned by a former federal prosecutor on Sunday that, if he fails to post a bond or pay the full amount owed to E. Jean Carroll, the columnist's attorneys can "get to work" on collecting the judgment for defamation after this week.

Trump lost two defamation trials against Carroll, with a jury finding him liable in the first for sexually assaulting her. He was ordered to pay $5 million in the first trial, and more than $83 million in the second one.

MSNBC legal analyst Joyce Vance wrote Sunday evening that the former president is facing a critical deadline in that case this coming week....

Trump 'at risk of not having enough liquid assets' as PACs fail to bail him out: Jen Psaki

Donald Trump has so far been leaning on his PACs to fund his legal defense bills, and could in theory attempt to do the same with other massive legal judgments, but that strategy is running on fumes, according to Jen Psaki Saturday.

Psaki, former White House press secretary and current MSNBC host, recently called out Trump's 'demeaning' view of women. Now, she's looking at the former president's financials.

Longtime investigative reporter Susanne Craig noticed a key moment in the final arguments in the New York fraud trial against Donald Trump. Trump's lack of liquidity was cited as a possible motive for his grossly inflating his wealth.

"The argument has been that he submitted these statements of financial condition in order to get better rates at the banks," she said. "And they went through some of the spending that Donald Trump has been doing recently. There have been a lot of renovations at three properties. He put $250 million into Doral and the old post office; he spent $225 million on renovations."...

Trump overstated net worth by $2.2 billion in one year: NY attorney general

New York Attorney General Letitia James has accused former President Donald Trump of routinely overstating his net worth.

ABC News first reported on James' motion for a summary judgment in a $250 million lawsuit against Trump and his family.

In the filing, Trump is accused of lying when he claimed in 2014 that he was worth $6.7 billion in assets — overstating his wealth by over $2.2 billion. ...
