The internet was livid Monday after Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) slammed Democrats for boosting Maine Senate candidate and Democrat Graham Platner — taking swipes at his own party and prominent leaders.

Fetterman appeared on Fox News in an interview with anchor Laura Ingraham, as calls were mounting for the candidate to step down from the competitive Senate race after he was accused of sexual assault.

"I would really call Bernie Sanders to apologize for pushing this kind of predator more than anyone he helped him elect," Fetterman said. "Maybe he should stop pushing these communists."...

Reactions rolled in Monday after Rep. Kevin Kiley (I-CA) announced that he would leave the Republican Party immediately and switch his party affiliation to independent this week, according to reports.

Kiley's move aims to secure his "longshot bid" for reelection in a Democratic-leaning district following redistricting in the Golden State last year that redrew the district lines in favor of Democratic candidates, Politico reported. He said he would continue to caucus with House Republicans, while also complaining about partisan politics.

“I will be the sole independent member of the House of Representatives,” Kiley told reporters Monday during a virtual press conference. “We’re going to be submitting the letter to the clerk today.”...

Kennedy Jr. is an entrepreneur and author, who gave up her medical license in 2018 and did not complete her residency at Stanford University, according to The Daily Beast. The "alternative medicine" blogger has been a controversial pick to lead the nation's public health agency. Her initial confirmation hearing was postponed because she went into labor and rescheduled to Wednesday after she gave birth to her son, Phoenix.

The Trump-affiliated Kentucky MAGA super PAC has unleashed its first round of attacks on GOP contrarian Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) after the lawmaker vehemently opposed the president's weekend strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities.

President Donald Trump's team was cobbling together the organization in the days before Massie joined with Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) to introduce a war powers resolution to prevent Trump from acting on his own against Iran, Axios reported Sunday. Trump ordered the strikes Saturday, before Congress could consider the resolution.

Massie, a deficit hawk who wears a "ticking debt clock" on his lapel, is also standing firm against Trump's megabill that the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimated would add more than $2.7 trillion to the deficit between 2025 and 2034....

Progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) marked President Donald Trump's first 100 days in office by applauding Americans who are "standing up" against his social policies, economic upheaval, and government cuts.

A fundraising email signed by "AOC's Team" began, "We won’t mince words: the first 100 days of Trump’s second term haven’t been easy. But people across the country are standing up against his attacks on the working class," adding that "Trump’s fascist agenda has already incurred over 200 lawsuits and obstacles."

Notable Harvard alumni applauded their university Monday after news that the Ivy League school would not capitulate to the Trump administration's anti-DEI initiatives for $9 billion in federal funding.

Trump threatened to pull the $9 billion if Harvard did not do away with their diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, or crack down on student protests like the pro-Palestinian demonstrations against the continued retaliatory bombing of Gaza.

The university released a statement saying, "The university will not surrender its independence or relinquish its constitutional rights. Neither Harvard nor any other private university can allow itself to be taken over by the federal government." ...
