'Eat the right from the inside out': Ex-Republican warns MAGA 'identity crisis' imploding

'Eat the right from the inside out': Ex-Republican warns MAGA 'identity crisis' imploding

A former Republican and New York Times columnist signaled Friday that MAGA's "identity crisis" has imploded in a splintered fight between right-wing influencers.

David French, a lifelong conservative who left the GOP because of its embrace of Donald Trump, told CNN anchor Dana Bash that the group that right-wing podcasters are calling each other out during Turning Point USA's event in Arizona — the largest gathering among that coalition since MAGA podcaster Charlie Kirk was killed.

At the event, podcaster Ben Shapiro argued that the conservative movement was "in danger" and called out Dinesh D'Souza, Nick Fuentes and Tucker Carlson....

'Trump is a psycho': Conservative George Conway breaks down how GOP is eating itself

'Trump is a psycho': Conservative George Conway breaks down how GOP is eating itself

Former President Donald Trump is hollowing out the Republican coalition as candidates in his image sign up to represent the GOP all over the country, warned conservative attorney George Conway on MSNBC Wednesday — and it is going to have disastrous consequences for the party.

This comes as North Carolina Republicans chose Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson for the gubernatorial nominee — a candidate who has denied the Holocaust and waxed nostalgic for the era when women couldn't vote.

"The problem for Donald Trump, George, is Donald Trump picked a lot of these candidates before," said anchor Joy Reid. "You could say in Arizona, Pennsylvania, you know, you name it, Dr. Oz. They just lost and lost and lost, whether running for senate or governor. They run statewide. When you get out of just the MAGA base, generally people don't want them. Now they're doing it in again in North Carolina."...

'Pandering': Trump brutally mocked for spewing 'racial tropes' at Black conservative event

Former president Donald Trump was the keynote speaker of the Black Conservative Federation's Annual BCF Honors Gala in Columbia, South Carolina, Friday, where he purportedly spread racial tropes in an effort to court minority voters.

Early in the speech, Trump celebrated being indicted several times, saying, "That's why Black people like me." He went on to make numerous other comments that were labeled as tone deaf or potentially even worse, and criticism on social media spread like wildfire.

"Trump says black people love him because he's a criminal. I told you guys, this is what they think of us," said a news editor....

'They have bled that list of people dry': Conservative says Trump voter pool is tapped out

Donald Trump has so far been able to fund his legal bills using small-dollar donations from his loyal fan base, but that time may be coming to an end after the ex-president's latest legal blunder, according to conservative Rick Wilson.

Wilson, whose group of current and former Republicans opposing Trump recently put out an A.I. ad recreating Trump's disapproving father, appeared on MSNBC's Ayman on Sunday, where he was asked about Trump's money troubles.

Specifically, the host asked how many golden sneakers Trump would have to sell to make a "dent" in his debts.

Moms for Liberty on the ropes as 'lone' supporter attends book ban meeting: report

Conservative group Moms for Liberty is reportedly struggling, and a good example of that was a recent school board meeting about a potential book ban, according to CNN.

Moms for Liberty saw a lot of early successes, but there is growing "pushback" about the group's conservative education agenda, according to the outlet's news report. This is reportedly occurring even on the group's home turf.

"In Florida, where the right-wing Moms for Liberty group was born in response to Covid-19 school closures and mask mandates, the first Brevard County School Board meeting of the new year considered whether two bestselling novels – 'The Kite Runner' and 'Slaughterhouse-Five' – should be banned from schools," according to the Saturday report. "A lone Moms for Liberty supporter sat by herself at the January 23 meeting, where opponents of the book ban outnumbered her."...
