Trump got a 'flashing red sign' with new Fox News poll: 'Big, big problem'

A new Fox News poll could signal a serious problem for President Donald Trump, CNN anchor Dana Bash reported on Thursday.

Bash referred to new polling from Fox News showing Ohio's Senate race could put Republicans in a tough position ahead of the midterm elections after Trump's approval rating has appeared to drop.

"That is a big flashing red sign for the president and for the Republicans on the ballot in this very red state of Ohio," Bash said. "This is the president's approval rating in Ohio right now. It is 42 percent, 42 percent approval. And the disapproval is 57 percent."...

GOP senator admits Trump's new scheme 'doesn't pass the smell test'

A GOP senator said on Wednesday that Trump's $1.8 billion anti-weaponization fund "doesn't pass the smell test."

Sen. John Curtis (R-UT) appeared on CNN to react to Trump's fund, created as part of a lawsuit settlement with the IRS. Anchor Dana Bash noted that Senate Majority Leader John Thune said he's "not a big fan" of the $1.8 billion fund, which critics expect will benefit Trump allies.

"My first reaction was, 'This doesn't pass the smell test,'" Curtis said. "That said, I'm willing to learn more about it and its intent."...

CNN's Dana Bash taken aback as Senate hearing devolves into 'Real Housewives' episode

CNN host Dana Bash cracked a joke on Wednesday as the heated hearing for Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) developed into a fiery back-and-forth similar to the popular reality show franchise.

The broadcaster dropped the Bravo reference after Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) faced off with Mullin over whether he was the right person to lead the Department of Homeland Security after the nominee approved of a violent attack against the Kentucky Republican. Mullin, who President Donald Trump has selected to replace outgoing Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, was grilled by Paul and other senators in a series of tough questions about his anger, temperament and concerns over his "classified work" outside the United States.

"Back with my panel meanwhile, on the Real Housewives of the U.S. Senate, this is, you know, I mean, it's actually, it is a serious issue that Rand Paul is trying to get at, which he said is, you know, character and that questioning whether he has anger issues," Bash said. ...

'This is not normal': CNN host shocked by Kristi Noem's ICE shooting claims

CNN anchor Dana Bash Thursday was shocked after Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem's continued claims about the fatal ICE killing of 37-year-old mother Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis.

Noem responded to series of questions from reporters during a press conference in New York City when she doubled down on the allegations that Good had targeted an ICE officer while driving her maroon Honda Pilot — while also saying that there should be a more thorough investigation.

"This vehicle was used to hit this officer. It was used as a weapon. And the officer feels as though his life was in jeopardy," Noem said. ...

White House melts down at CNN — for reporting on White House meltdown

The White House had a meltdown on Tuesday after CNN reported on its reaction to President Donald Trump's Chief of Staff Susie Wiles' bombshell Vanity Fair interview.

White House insiders were reportedly managing a clean-up operation over the information Wiles revealed about the reality inside Trump world when a Trump insider texted CNN anchor Dana Bash, who was live on air, telling her to correct a chyron that said "White House aides reeling over Susie Wiles interview."

CNN analyst David Chalian and Bash were discussing how the interview had rocked Washington, D.C.....

'10 years in the making': Analyst marvels as Trump has Putin epiphany

CNN's Dana Bash played a "very interesting" clip on Inside Politics of President Donald Trump admitting that he's been jerked around by Vladimir Putin over ending the war in Ukraine.

The clip was recorded during a cabinet meeting Tuesday, when Trump declared, "We get a lot of bull---- thrown at us by Putin, if you want to know the truth. He's very nice all the time, but it turns out to be meaningless."

Bash said that in the past month or two, we've "heard much tougher language from the president when it comes to Vladimir Putin than we did in the almost 10 years that he has been on the political scene."...
