The internet reacted Monday to the news that a former aide to President Donald Trump has been named a top leader at Meta.

Dina Powell McCormick, former deputy national security advisor and wife of Sen. Dave McCormick (R-PA), was named Meta's next president and vice chairman in a company announcement.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) continued to rankle fellow Democrats Monday by appearing at a bipartisan event in Boston as Republicans try to woo him to join their side of the aisle, according to a report in The Washington Post.

Fetterman, whose mental health struggles came under renewed scrutiny in a recent New York Magazine article, appeared alongside Sen. Dave McCormick (R-PA) at an event celebrating bipartisanship.

"The two purple-state senators from opposing parties found little they disagreed on at the Edward Kennedy Institute," wrote reporter Liz Goodwin. In fact McCormick even asked if he could defend Fetterman publicly from criticism....

The campaign for Pennsylvania Republican Senate candidate Dave McCormick attempted to highlight crime driven by border insecurity — but in doing so, the campaign appeared to mix up two entirely separate Philadelphias.

The campaign page for McCormick, a hedge fund businessman running against incumbent Democratic Sen. Bob Casey, reposted a crime story from the far-right account End Wokeness involving an unauthorized immigrant in Philadelphia who was accused of a shooting on behalf of the violent MS-13 street gang. The gang originated in California but is associated with Salvadoran immigrants.

"MS-13 gang members are terrorizing Philadelphians because of Harris & Casey's radical open border policies," McCormick's account wrote, trying to tie his opponent's political record to the crime....

Republican Senate candidate David McCormick is outraged over an upcoming New York Times article he says contains "frivolous lies" about his childhood.

McCormick, who just last month was ridiculed after bragging that his wife was on the board of Exxon, posted about the journalistic inquiry in a Thursday explainer on social media.

"The New York Times’ [Katie Glueck] is writing a story filled w/ frivolous lies about my childhood. If it weren’t so demeaning to my parents’ lifelong teaching careers & the college town I’m so proud to have been raised in, it might be funny. [New York Times] is lying," he said on Thursday....
