Boxer and vlogger Jake Paul got an endorsement from President Donald Trump — but the influencer isn't actually running for office, according to reports Thursday.

Trump called Paul to the stage during his rally Wednesday night in Hebron, Kentucky and told the crowd he expected him to run for office "in the not-too-distant future," The New York Times reported. "That's what we want," Trump added, pointing towards Paul.

"He’s a great guy," Trump said. "He’s a courageous guy and a talented guy. He’s a hell of a fighter, too."...

Republican candidates — and loyal MAGA influencers — no longer view President Donald Trump's endorsement with the same value it used to have, according to a report Monday.

The Down Ballot Substack's David Nir and Jeff Singer described how Arizona Republican candidate Gina Swoboda dropped out of her race for "the swingy 1st Congressional District," after previously receiving Trump's full endorsement. Instead, she announced she would run for Arizona Secretary of State against incumbent Democratic Secretary of State Adrian Fontes.

"Swoboda switched races the day after wealthy businesswoman Karrin Taylor Robson dropped out of the primary to oppose Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs. Robson, unlike Swoboda, did not announce a new bid for office," The Down Ballot reported. ...

President Donald Trump on Monday dropped a series of Truth Social posts adding endorsements for a slew of Republican candidates just hours before election day, including comments about one GOP incumbent that unleashed serious MAGA backlash.

Donald Trump's attack on his former press secretary has cost the former president the endorsement of a Republican lawmaker.

New Hampshire Rep. James Spillane, who earlier this year announced his support for Trump in the 2024 presidential race, said Thursday he’s switching sides and backing the former president’s top rival, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, The New Hampshire Journal reports.

Spillane cited Trump’s Tuesday social media post assailing former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who he accused intentionally reporting inaccurate poll numbers in her role as a Fox News contributor....
