Todd Blanche creeping 'inexorably' toward contempt in Epstein case: legal expert

Attorney General Todd Blanche's Justice Department keeps stiffing a federal judge over the Epstein files, and a legal expert sees where the road ends.

Lawyer and analyst Michael Popok said in Saturday's episode of his podcast "The Intersection" that the DOJ is "moving ever so inexorably towards contempt" in Katie Phang's lawsuit against Blanche after the department blew yet another court deadline.

"I'm waiting any moment now for...a very unhappy Judge Sullivan to throw the book again at the Department of Justice," Popok said, referring to U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan, who's presiding over the case....

Todd Blanche faces fresh court scrutiny over Trump accuser’s FBI notes: legal expert

Attorney General Todd Blanche is facing fresh scrutiny over his handling of FBI records involving a woman who accused President Donald Trump of sexual abuse as a federal judge presses for answers in a lawsuit over the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Legal analyst Katie Phang, who brought the lawsuit, revealed Friday that U.S. District Judge Emmett Sullivan had issued another order addressing Blanche’s compliance with demands to produce records.

“Brand new update in my lawsuit against Attorney General Todd Blanche for the production of the unredacted Epstein files, hot off the presses,” Phang said. “An order from Judge Sullivan relating to these last few episodes I’ve been doing here at Katy Phang News about the failure of Todd Blanche to actually comply."...

Todd Blanche trying to hide behind evidence that he claims he can't find: legal expert

A legal expert suing the Justice Department argues Todd Blanche's latest court submission points to evidence that quietly vanished.

Lawyer and journalist Katie Phang, who is suing Attorney General Todd Blanche for unredacted Epstein records, said in a Thursday episode for the "Katie Phang News" channel that the FBI's handwritten notes from the last of four 2019 interviews with a woman who alleges Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump sexually assaulted her as a teenager have never surfaced and that Blanche's recent notice of compliance does not explain why. Trump has denied wrongdoing related to Epstein.

U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan ordered Blanche on September 16 to submit for private review the notes underlying FBI reports from interviews conducted July 24, August 7, August 20 and October 16, 2019....

Todd Blanche's new word for Trump accuser's FBI notes raises red flags for expert

Attorney General Todd Blanche's new word for handwritten notes on an accuser of President Donald Trump in the Epstein files is raising red flags.

Lawyer and journalist Katie Phang, a former prosecutor suing Blanche for the unredacted Epstein files, picked apart the Justice Department's latest court filing in a video posted Tuesday on her YouTube channel, "Katie Phang News."

At issue are handwritten notes from four FBI interviews with a woman who alleged Trump sexually assaulted and physically abused her when she was between 13 and 15 years old. Trump has long denied wrongdoing tied to Epstein....

‘Todd, which one is it?’ Attorney confronts Todd Blanche for latest Epstein delay ruse

Attorney Katie Phang accused Attorney General Todd Blanche of filing a motion "chock-full of lies" to stall her lawsuit seeking unredacted files on the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Phang made the accusation in a broadcast on her YouTube channel on Friday, a day after the Justice Department made a last-minute request to U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan to postpone a deadline in the case.

Sullivan had ordered Blanche to file a certified list of the administrative record, meaning the documents the department relied on to decide what to release and redact, by Oct. 1, according to the motion....

Trump DOJ ordered to fast-track Epstein files release after 'big win': expert

A federal judge ordered the Trump Justice Department to fast-track a watchdog group's request for Epstein files, including records mentioning President Donald Trump.

U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia issued the ruling in a memorandum opinion filed Wednesday. She granted in part a motion for summary judgment from Democracy Defenders Fund, finding the group is entitled to expedited processing of three Freedom of Information Act requests it submitted to DOJ in July 2025.

"BIG WIN for making the Epstein Files public," Norm Eisen, executive chair of Democracy Defenders Fund, celebrated in a post on X after the ruling. "Orders DOJ to get busy giving us the docs. We will hold their feet to the fire."...
