House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) admitted to a reporter that he's "very concerned" about Donald Trump Jr.'s Russian oligarch scandal.

Earlier this week, a ProPublica report revealed that Umar Kremlev, an ally of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, secretly bankrolled Don Jr.'s lavish Bahamas wedding in May. Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA), the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, followed up on the bombshell report by announcing he's investigating Kremlev's involvement in the wedding.

Defiance, the newsletter run by Department of Homeland Security whistleblower Miles Taylor, asked Comer about the investigation coming out of his committee, and Taylor stressed that Comer isn't brushing off Garcia's investigation....

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) will give up his seat as the leader of the House Judiciary Committee after eight years with the gavel.

According to a Wednesday report by Politico, Jordan said on the sidelines of the GOP midterm convention that he doesn't plan to seek a waiver of the GOP's three-term limit for committee leadership of the Judiciary Committee. He also revealed that he doesn't plan to return as the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, but he didn't offer much reason why.

Lawyer and journalist Katie Phang warned that Melania Trump tops the subpoena list for lawmakers planning an Epstein probe.

Phang is leading a lawsuit against Attorney General Todd Blanche to hold the Trump administration accountable for its obligation to release certain Epstein records by law. On a Friday podcast episode she described in the title as a "bombshell," Phang spoke with Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) about his pledge to carry out an investigation of Epstein and uncover more about the deceased sex criminal after the midterms.

Garcia and Phang predicted that Democrats would retake the House after the midterms, along with the House Oversight Committee. As the ranking Democrat on the committee, Garcia expects to find himself in a position to start dishing out subpoenas, and Phang noted, "At the top of that list is a woman by the name of Melania Trump."...

House Oversight Committee lawmakers were furious Friday after they received only one non-disclosure agreement involving Leon Black, a former associate of Jeffrey Epstein, according to reports.

The committee had issued a subpoena for Black, the Apollo Global Management founder, demanding all NDAs Black allegedly has related to the late convicted sex offender and his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell, Politico reported.

The Trump family's ties to MAGA influencers facing "horrific" charges were called out in a demand for a House oversight investigation.

Rep. Yassamin Ansari (D-AZ) wrote in a post on X that she had demanded the House Oversight Committee "swiftly open" an investigation into brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate and their "coordination and extensive relationships with members of the President's orbit, including his son, Barron Trump."

She made the demand in a letter that she sent to Rep. James Comer (R-KY) that she shared via her X post. In the letter, she urged, "The Committee must learn from Barron Trump about his knowledge of the Tate brothers' crimes, if he had any involvement whatsoever, and if he communicated with members of his father's administration or the President himself regarding their legal proceedings."...

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has turned to an unlikely person to help advise him as he prepares to testify about his relationship with late financier and child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to a report from The New York Times on Tuesday.

Gates was slated to speak to the House Oversight Committee in private on Wednesday, and The Times reported that he has tapped Jake Greenberg, the former top investigative counsel to the Committee, to help him in the wake of the release of the Epstein file. The fallout has affected his Gates Foundation amid questions about the nature of his relationship with Epstein, two sources affiliated with the organization told The Times.

"In preparing for the deposition, Mr. Gates has turned to Jake Greenberg, who until December was spearheading the oversight panel’s Epstein inquiry in his role as the committee’s top investigative official," according to The Times. "The people who disclosed his involvement insisted on anonymity to discuss Mr. Greenberg’s previously undisclosed function."
