'This is not good': Experts pounce on 'terrible' report showing Trump's latest 'huge miss'

Experts Friday reacted to a weak jobs report, which they say signals a shaky labor market — and the latest hit to President Donald Trump's economy.

Market analysts weighed in after the Labor Department revealed that 92,000 jobs were cut in February and unemployment has climbed to 4.4 percent, The New York Times reported. The report comes as uncertainty rises around the economy and America's growing conflict in the Middle East.

The Trump administration has blamed the weaker-than-expected report partially on the winter storms and strikes last month, according to The Times. And although weather can play a factor in unemployment, the data for February jobs doesn't necessarily tie solely to weather....

Trump stuns with wild answer to CNN reporter: 'This man has the nuclear codes!'

Reactions erupted online Friday after CNN's Kaitlan Collins pressed President Donald Trump about why he posted new job data early.

Collins posed the question while Trump was meeting with American oil executives and taking questions from reporters — following reports that job numbers were lagging.

"I said post them whenever you get a chance. I don't know. They gave me some numbers. When people give me things, I post them," Trump said....

Ex-GOP insider drops stark warning: 'Debt clock spinning so fast it's about to catch fire'

Former Republican strategist Rick Wilson Friday responded to a bleak new jobs report and how he expected President Donald Trump to react to the news.

The Lincoln Project co-founder warned in his Substack that Trump and his administration would attempt to spin the report, which showed the worst year for job gains outside of recession since 2003.

"If you like your economic data served with a side of pure fiction, this is your week," Wilson wrote. "The administration is touting numbers that look like they were generated by a random number generator in a MAGA hat. They claim the 'Big Beautiful Bill' is fixing everything, but the reality is a landscape of hidden tariff taxes and a debt clock that’s spinning so fast it’s about to catch fire."...

'Flying blind': White House makes shocking claim economic data may be permanently damaged

The White House warned Wednesday that the federal statistical system could be "permanently damaged" in the fallout over the government shutdown.

The October jobs and inflation data might not be released at all — a major concern for Wall Street as the shutdown dragged more than 40 days, CNBC reports.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters during a news briefing that although the longest stalemate in U.S. government history is nearing an end, it is doubtful that the data will be available. ...

'Let's just be clear!' CNN host gets stern as former Trump official protests fact check

Economist Stephen Moore, who served as senior economic advisor during Donald Trump's first term, appeared on CNN to support the president's claim that the latest job report put out by the Bureau of Labor Statistics was "rigged" against him.

Trump fired BLS head Erika McEntarfer over the lackluster jobs report last week, and posted to Truth Social Monday claiming, "Last weeks [sic] Job’s [sic] Report was RIGGED, just like the numbers prior to the Presidential Election were Rigged. That’s why, in both cases, there was massive, record setting revisions, in favor of the Radical Left Democrats."

Moore agreed that the numbers coming out are "just not accurate, and there are a lot of reasons for that, but they're getting worse and worse in each passing month and each passing year."...

'Who is this elusive Hank Tough?' Observers mercilessly mock Trump's now-deleted typo post

President Donald Trump had a "covfefe" moment Friday when he posted to Truth Social about the better-than-expected jobs numbers and tried to encourage Americans to keep the faith. That's when his keyboard got him into a bit of trouble.

"GREAT JOBS NUMBERS, FAR BETTER THAN EXPECTED. IT'S ALREADY WORKING. HANK TOUGH, WE CAN'T LOSE!!!" the president posted just before 9 a.m.
